This document discusses user experience requirements for augmented reality apps. It evaluates over 90 ARKit titles across 14 categories and identifies three main AR UX requirements: 1) Providing instructions for how users can direct and control the AR scene since it is difficult for users to physically manipulate perspective and scale. 2) Giving guidance on how to optimize the AR experience and content for different physical perspectives. 3) Properly timing app permissions requests and explanations since interaction can break without permissions. It analyzes several example AR apps and identifies best practices for meeting these requirements.
