French experiment : mediators for labour disputes  Place : Cour d'Appel de Paris 10 chambers involved Preparation : 3 years discussions 4 mediators’organizations involved  1 process agreed 18
French experimentphase I :  information during public hearing  Mediatorsselected by organizations 1 mediator present  in each public hearing 40 mediatorsinvolved Court selects cases suitable for mediation and suggest to meet mediator for information If both parties agree, mediation can start StartedDecember 2009 19
Phase II: summons for information Court will select appropriate cases All parties with lawyers will get appointment together with mediator for information as soon as appeal is received Expected to start in December 2010 20
