2. Capacity Building: Capacity refers to the ability of individuals and
institutions to make and implement decisions and perform functions in
an effective, efficient and sustainable manner.
Levels of capacity building: Capacity is sometimes divided into four
levels - individual, organizational, network/sectoral and the enabling
environment, of which each represents its own level of analysis.
Individual level
Organizational level
Network/sectoral level
Enabling environment level

building, Health Access and handicraft development sectors, farm
and non farm based livelihoods.

social work.

of the farmers.
To study and understand different capacity programme for the
beneficiaries.
To identify possible interventions in the areas and strengthen
the capacity building programme in near future.
5. Scope: This project is undertaken by me in the different
villages in the Ghatgaon block of Keonjhar District that are-
Badapichula, Jharbeda, Rutisila.
Methodology:
Focus group interview
Simple random sampling
Descriptive survey
6. Kharip cropping is more preferred than Rabi cropping and it is
economical for farmer and beneficial.
The beneficiaries are not at all interested in any meetings
organized by the govt. agencies.
Many farmers are engaged with the land development projects
apart from the farming.
Rice is preferred more by the farmers than other crops.
7. More than half of the total population are not enjoying all the
cultivation facilities provided by the govt.
The WADI project is popular in the Keonjhar region but
partially. People are not fully aware of it.
The average income of the farmer’s apart from the Wadi
project is approximately 50 thousand per annum.
8. Wosca should implement some programmes so that most of
the farmers are included in the land development projects.
Wosca should give stress on the advertisement and awareness
of Wadi project so that more and more no of people are
aware.
Some innovations required to make the programme. attractive.
So that villagers get interested to attend the programmes and
get aware and benefitted.
9. By this study it can concluded that the Wadi projects is a
beneficial projects for the villagers of Keonjhar, but it has to be
well advertised so that more and more no. of farmers are aware
about the project and they get benefited. It can also be concluded
that govt. are organizing many plans but they are not properly
implemented as the benefits of the programmes are not reaching
to the beneficiaries. Therefore a proper system has to be
developed so that it can be benefited more no. of the villagers.
