written ] manual, on Chinese landscape
gardening;

Negative Daoist,” and originally written
between1631-1634.

apart from imagining Pacific scenes, from the time of W. Somerset
Maugham, back in 1922, when he published the book -
On a Chinese Screen: Sketches of Life in China;
it focused on Westerner’s struggles to accept, adapt or understand, the
enormity of cultural differences, they encountered in China.
