  4. This is not for a complete website, but rather for a specific page.Lets start with the link popularityThis is the number and the quality of links that point to your page. A good natural balance is important. Only top links will be suspicious, tons ofjunk links don’t help either. New links count more than older ones.So, what is a top link?This leads usto:trust/authorityThis defines how valuable and important Google thinks your page is in general. Google thinks you are important if you have tons of good links pointingat you. A link from an important page is worth more than a link from an unimportant page.(Refer to whiteboard)Same applies to search results: pages from important sites are listed higher than pages from normal sites.Feedback loop:basically, everything we do to improve ourranking will helptoimprove our trust level, which in turn improves our ranking :-)Anchor textWhat is written on the links that point to your page?
