2. Terraria
Terraria is the main inspiration for my game because of the sidescroller and boss fight
aspects of the game. I also like the design and layout of the maps in the game and that
is something I hope to recreate in my game, although the backgrounds are detailed
and complicated. I think what keeps the game interesting is that there is so many
bosses to fight, and so many things to prepare for there's never nothing to do,
although I wont be implementing this many in my game, I will add a few to keep it
interesting.
3. Mortal Kombat X
The actual concept of the Mortal kombat games are far from what I would actually be
doing in my game, but I would like to take the fighting aspect of the game for the final
boss fight at the end, where each character takes it in turns to deal damage, so it is
relatively fair. Although the graphics would be nothing like the game in my game , I
would like to include the aspect of fatalites into my game

5. The Escapists
I like the aspect of the game where you have to get different items to progress in the
game, this keeps the game interesting and fun to play. In my game I'm going to include
the aspect of the collection of certain items to allow your character to progress
throughout the game. The game also uses a fully custom chiptune soundtrack which
sounds really good.
6. Research Analysis
â The games I have researched are/were all 8 or 16 bit games at some point and
all include boss fights, progressively harder levels and collecting items to aid
progression throughout the game. These are aspects of the game I would like
to include in mine, I would also like to include the same type of soundtrack in
my game too
