3. OUTLINE
The basic idea behind the movie is based around young man, aged around 20. He is an
ordinary man who has never had any problems but he finds himself losing track of his memory
and time. One minute he is completely normal and the next changes into an uncontrollable
psycho.
Based on a “true story” of a guy that has a personality disorder. The story will be told from the
physco’s son who he accidently killed and now thinks that he is hearing his son voice.
The whole opening scene will focus and show only the main character. This is so the audience
will know who it is. Throughout the opening there will be voice over telling the audience about
who this man is, this will be done using him in one scene and having flash backs and will
hopefully be intrigued to find out more about what he has done and will do.

5. SCRIPT
The script will be a voice used being spoken by a young child who is the son of this psychotic
man. It will be a monologue throughout. However, during the opening we will be using a child
laugh, the sound of a prison door shutting, light flicker in prison, rocking chair, these are the
only basic sounds we will be using as we decided that if the rest was silent it would help to
create a more dramatic and thrilling effect.
7. LOCATION, SETTING AND LIGHTING
Our idea involved having 2 different settings which will
constantly be going back and fourth to show the present
and past.
Due to our initial idea we would like to portray the man as
psychotic and there would like to have him in some sort
of isolation and if possible in a prison like scene. There
will then be flash backs of him in a room which will again
be isolated from everything else. The reason behind
everything being isolated is to show the danger of this
person.
The opening sequence needs to display a horror theme
and in order to do this we will be using dark/low key
lighting in each scene filmed.
