- 3. LANDFORMS Landforms are parts of Earth not covered with water. Some landforms are high; others are low.
- 4. PLAIN A plain is a wide area of low, flat land.
- 7. PLATEAU A plateau is a flat land on a high place.
- 9. VALLEY A valley is a low land surrounded by hills or mountains.
- 11. MOUNTAIN A mountain is a high landform. It has a steep shape.
- 13. HILL A hill is also a high landform but lower than a mountain. It has a smooth or a round top.
- 15. MOUNTAIN RANGE A mountain range is a row or chain of mountains. They appear to be connected to one another.
- 17. VOLCANO A volcano is a mountain with an opening on top. The opening is called a crater. Hot materials from inside of Earth come out when a volcano erupts.
- 20. ISLAND An island is an area of land surrounded by water. It may be small or large.
- 22. PENINSULA A peninsula is a long and narrow part of a land that extends out to the sea. A peninsula is not totally surrounded by water.

- PRAYER Lets begin our day with a peaceful prayer Hail Mary HOOK Before we begin with our lesson for today, we will have a field trip first! Who wants to go on a trip? so where could our field trip be? Who has an idea where we’ll have our trip today? Hmm, where could it be? Who wants to take a guess? any good guess? Let me see if everyone is ready to leave. Sit down properely and hands on your armchair and be quiet. (If someone is still talking and doing so many things we will not pursue with our field trip, i know you don’t want that to happen.) If youre still not ready,im sorry but we will have to leave you behind. Ok so lets see! and of course the most important thing, wear your seat belts! (play the video) Did you enjoy our trip? So if you enjoyed our trip can you tell where our first destination was? Who has been to Bohol? Who had a chance to visit Bohol already? Can you share something from your visit in Bohol? (that goes the same for me, ) From the video presentation, what famous landmark that can be found in Bohol? Did you know that Chocolate hills change its color? Sometimes it is green, sometimes it is brown as chocolate. Why do you think so? From Bohol and its majestic Chocolate hills, What was our second destination? Who has been to Albay? From the video presentation, what was the famous landmark that can be found in Albay? So children, do you know why Mayon Volcano is famous? What was our last destination? Who has been to Davao City? From the video what famous landmark have we seen? Mt. Apo, just like mayon, mt. apo is also famous, do you know why? It is the highest mountain in the philippines. So, what are those landmarks called? LANDFORMS!
- Teacher will read, Landforms are parts of the Earth not covered with water. Some landforms are high; others are low. EVERYBODY PLEASE READ Then students, Louder, So again, what do you call the parts of the Earth not covered with water? It is also said that Some landforms are high; others are low DEMONSTRATE HIGH AND LOW So, is this high? (show low) There are still other landforms aside from the ones we saw from the video. (NEXT)
- READ by the teacher first Then students It’s a wide area of low and flat land ha, not flat nose. Can you imagine what a plain looks like? In our classroom , we can compare plain to our floor. It is wide enough, low and flat
- So children, we will have a simple game, and if you are able to get the correct answer you will receive a very special gift from ms charisse. I will show some pictures on the board and you will choose which one is the plain> Is that clear? And if you want to answer just raise your hand. Based on the given definition earlier. Is it picture 1? 2? or 3? why do you say so?
- So children for additional information. -Most people live on plains. They build houses, schools, and many other buildings on plain. -Plains are good for farming. So what can you see on the picture? CALL SOMEONE!!! *Were your houses built on a plain? How about our school? Was it built on a plain? I also mentioned that Plains are good for farming. *Why is a plain good for farming? Are there any questions about plains? Are you ready to see the next landform?
- So the next landform is this, Read the name of the next landform. OK. say Plateau. Repeat after me. This is not the where you put your foods huh? this is not plato. READ BY THE TEACHER Then students But miss isnt plateau the same with plains? Because they are both flat land, Whats the difference? Just like the plain, a plateau is a flat land, the only difference is that it is on a high place. Can you imagine what a plateau looks like?
- Ok, now its time for a game! Just like the one we did with the plain, I will show you some pictures and you will choose which one is the plateau. So why do you say so? Ok, perfect! are there any questions regarding plateau? So lets move on to the next landform.
- The nest landform is, valley READ BY THE TEACHER Then students -People live on valleys. -Some valleys are also good for farming. Can you imagine what a valley looks like?
- Get ready for our game! Again, from the picture that i will show you, you are going to choose which one is the valley. Why do you say so? questions so far? Ok, lets move on to the next landform.
- -A mountain is a high landform.(SO is it like this or like this?) It has a steep shape. This means that it slants sharply from the ground to the top. -Most mountains are covered with forests that are home to different plants and animals.
- Lets get back to our game! Choose among the pictures which one is the mountain Is it 1? 2? or 3? Why do you say so? From our field trip, what again is the highest mountain in the Philippines? Where can we find it? Questions?
- The next landform is the hill. If the mountain is this high, then a hill would be this high From our field trip we saw hills right? What again is the name of the hills that can be found in Bohol ? Very good!
- I guess the next game will be very easy for you, Which one is the hill on these pictures? 1?2? 3? Why do you say so? QUESTIONS? lets now see the next landform.
- So, the next landform is the mountain range -Forests that cover mountain ranges are home to different plants and animals. TEACHER READ STUDENTS Children, mountain range is just mountains that are connected to on another. Can you imagine how a mountain range looks like? Lest see, prepare for another game!
