3. Promoting Apprenticeships and their value to employers, learners, parents and other partners. Act as a co-ordinator of funding and services. Effectively manage vacancies to potential employers and apprentices. Work closely with business representation organisations and other intermediaries. Embed where possible NEAC within the whole 14-19 agenda in the region.
4. Vision By 2012 NEAC will be the lead apprenticeship training association, driven by and recognised for the quality of it apprentices, the strength of its partnerships and its impact on skills across the region.
5. By? Increasing the number of apprenticeships by 400 per year. Increasing the number of young people who aspire to participate in an apprenticeship as their main career or a route through education. Develop a clear line of sight for young people and their peers to a high quality apprenticeship. Make it easier for employers to get onto the apprenticeship ladder. Drive up quality standards and achievement rates across the region to 85%, including the highest level of customer service to young people and employers. Lever funding whenever possible to ensure apprenticeship continuity . Ensure our marketing and communication widens sector uptake of apprenticeships and strengthens the provider base across the region. Develop strategies that will ensure inward investment within the region and also engages national employers locally. Ensure that we have a high performance team within NEAC that is responsive and clearly demand and customer led.

9. The Numbers Sustainability model based on contributions from Employers and Provider partners. Employer pays 15% management fee on top of salary + on costs. Provider pays 15% of framework funding or 15% of balance remaining. Other models and payment structures are being investigated.
