Stakeholder management
1. STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT FOR WEDDING PROJECT
Stakeholders are the people or groups with an interest in the success or failure of an
organisation. Stakeholders can affect or be affected by the organization’s actions,
objectives and policies. Not all stakeholders are equal. Some stakeholders are less
important than others. The business would class them as either primary
stakeholders or secondary stakeholders.
The stakeholders in a wedding project are numerous.
The primary stakeholders are bride, groom and families on both sides are the
biggest stakeholders.
The secondary stakeholders are:-
1. wedding planner
2. videographer or photographer
3. Priest/ Pundit
4. Venue (budget class, open garden, big hall, A/c function hall).
5. Hall decorators (fairy tail arrangements, theme based decoration, floral
decoration, light show arrangements)
6. Lightning and sound (DJ Arrangements, Candle Lighting & instrumental
music, Lantern lighting & Instrumental music, Dark Night Theme lighting)
7. Make up (Bridal makeup, groom makeup)
8. Transportation
9. Artist programs
10.Invitation (card design, card printing)
11.Catering services
12.Clothiers
13.Accommodation (hotel/guest house/resort/)
After we classify and grouped the stakeholders we need to monitor and manage
stakeholder relationships.
Managers should listen to and openly communicate with stakeholders about their
respective concerns and contributions, and about the risks that they assume
because of their involvement. Managers should recognize the interdependence of
efforts and rewards among stakeholders. Time is major constrain in the wedding
event, manager should organize everything on time. Manager should solve potential
conflicts between different stakeholders.
