2. The clear theme that runs throughout the digipak here is a red, fire type theme, suggesting that this could be a rock type song, or death metal as the fire might represent hell, the orange and black go well together, reinforcing the genre and creating a sense of mystery. The front cover shows no artist or band potentially because the target audience would know who they were already, or simply because they wanted to cause mystery about who they were. The CD holder panel has what look likes a shadow holding its arms up reflecting the title of the album but also reflecting what possible could be a ghost. The actual CD has what looks like a halo around it which reinforces the idea of heaven but is juxtaposed by the orange flames of hell. The name of the cd “Reach Higher” tells us it may be referring to the after life such as heaven or more likely hell.
3. The man with a guitar and denim outfit reinforces the idea of country music, as well as the image of the horses in the countryside which portrays an image of nature, with the colour green and blue used reinforcing this. The man is the artist, he promotes hisCDby creating a positive image, such as the smile on his face and the image of nature and free will, with mountains, horses and fields going with the genre of the album which seems to be the prominent theme. The front cover is simply him sitting down with a guitar in a field, this appeals to its target audience who can tell what type of music it will be, and can tell its more independent than mainstream music as there is no effects just a simple photograph and clear/calm colours. We can tell from the images and font that the genre of the music is country/folk music. The font at the bottom of the cover seems some what free hand which could go with the idea of the genre as being free willed.
