Professional Biography
Mr. Jay Rein is a leader with over 20 years of experience spearheading the rapid and
sustained growth of various organizations. Mr. Rein gained his expertise in sales,
relationship management and client services, marketing, team leadership, technology and
P&L management during his highly successful career in several leadership roles.
Specifically, Mr. Rein was the CEO and one of the founders of find.com, President &
CEO of Travelworm.com, the Vice President of eCommerce at Worldspan and the Senior
Director CRM & Strategic Marketing at GTSI. He has also held various other leadership
roles at Motorola, Epsilon Data Management, Logica North America, AT&T, Accenture,
American Airlines and Texas Instruments.
Mr. Rein’s analytical approach has consistently produced quick and favorable results in each of the positions
he has held:
At Travelworm, he quickly transformed the business from losing nearly $350K per month to
breakeven profitability within twelve months.
At Worldspan he managed a $500M business while the Board negotiated the sale of the $950M
business to Travelport.
While at Epsilon Data Management, he improved customer satisfaction while also rationalizing
existing business and contractual relationships; this effort led to the sale of the company for 6x
EBITDA.
At Logica North America, he created and managed a CRM practice for the financial services
division and created a $4M revenue stream within 18 months of startup; successfully launching
FT.com for Pearson Plc in London, England.
Additionally, Mr. Rein was frequently quoted by BusinessWeek, InformationWeek and Airline
Business during his tenure at Accenture where he supported the growth and development of the
Transportation & Travel Services practice.
Most recently, Mr. Rein launched his own business, Think Build Manage, LLC. Via this consultancy, he
was acting Chief Commercial Officer for VAYANT; successfully launched a new online travel agency,
BetterCheaperTravel.com; helped PRNewswire to launch a new viral/social media-based marketing tool,
MultiVu Web Solutions; and finally, he helped the staff at HighTower Trail Middle School in Marietta,
Georgia develop a framework to allow its students to better acclimate to group project work as they move
from elementary school to middle school and onward to high school. He is currently helping HANDII, a
Microsoft-based tablet PC manufacturer develop its North American distribution model.
In addition to his business accomplishments, Mr. Rein holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance
and International Business from New York University, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics
from The University of Vermont. He is a tenacious but flexible professional that leads by example,
possesses excellent communication skills, and is a decisive and results-oriented individual capable of making
significant and continuing contributions.
