Introduction
This work is about adolescence, specifically drugs in
adolescence, their possible causes, consequences and
prevention of these modes. The objectives of this study explore
why adolescents are "attracted" by the drugs, and through this,
help us guide our oral presentation proposed by the teacher of
the discipline of English.
Many boys and girls, given the frustrations turn to gangs.
There are many books about it. Parents do not understand.
Maybe the teens try to escape by drugs. Drugs are fatal to the
body of any person, and furthermore, addictive personality and
affect all of us.
What are drugs?
Drugs are substances
(products) that change
the way you look and feel
your surroundings. May
originate in plants or be
produced in the laboratory.
Why do teenagers take
drugs?
Several scientific studies have been conducted over the years
looking for the causes that lead to the use and / or substance
abuse. Although not a sealed type exists that identifies
accurately and comprehensively the origin of consumption,
there are some factors identified as common and cross-
culturally: for fun, relaxation, pleasure, curiosity, pursuit of
happiness, developing confidence, adventure, integration in
specific group, self and peer-acceptance, listening and dancing
to certain music, stay awake at night, revolt, mismanagement of
feelings, soften the hangover, among others.
What causes that can lead
a teenager to try drugs?
• Curiosity;
• Lack of perspective;
• Escape;
• New experiences;
• Fad;
• Wide availability of drugs;
• Greater tolerance towards the use of some substances;
• Stress caused by family conflicts and lack of family structure as
distant parents, difficulty of parents set limits for your teen,
significant changes (city, loss of a parent);
• Personality traits: low self-esteem, low self confidence,
aggressiveness, impulsivity, defiance, difficulty accepting being
contradicted;
• Psychiatric disorders: conduct, hyperactivity and attention
deficit, depression, anxiety and other personality disorders.
Consequences
Drug use can cause acute complications (intoxication or
overdose) or chronic, with changes lasting or even irreversible.
Other risks are also considered when dealing with teenagers is
because all psychoactive substances when used improperly
increase the risk of accidents and violence by reducing the care
for self-preservation, already vulnerable among adolescents.
Types of drugs commonly
used by adolescents
Cannabis Heroína
Cocaína
Ecstasy
Alcohol
Tobacco
Conclusion
Along this work we talk about several types of drugs. Soft drugs ,
like marijuana , which in many countries are not prohibited
because it is considered to have excessively harmful effects ;
and hard drugs like heroin , which are highly destructive and
create a strong dependency. Currently , the most common
among teenagers is synthetic , that are creating very serious
problems . Maybe you seem very attractive escaping a reality
that can now be difficult for you . Or maybe you feel too
pressured by your friends, if not you take , they call you old-
fashioned geek or dizzy child. Think you have much to lose.
People who smuggle drugs play with your inexperience. To them,
interests them you those tomes . And are adults . If you think
you'd like to sample some mild drug, waiting for adult beings . At
that point , you have all the information you need , your
personality is formed and really will know what you're playing this
bet . Now you can smash all your youth and , if you get hooked
up your life . Being an adult is much more than having a fully
formed body. It is the ability to decide when thou art in the
game.
