Education and Disability
INTRODUCTION
The importance of education for all children, especially for those with disability and with limited
social and economic opportunities, is indisputable. Indeed, the special education system allowed
children with disability increased access to public education. Apart from that, the special education
system has provided for them an effective framework for their education, and for the institutions
involved to identify children with disability sooner. In turn, this promotes greater inclusion of
children with disability alongside their nondisabled peers. In spite of these advances however, many
obstacles remain, including delays in providing services for children with disability, as well as
regulatory and...show more content...
Also, they are often held to lower expectations, are less likely to take the full academic curriculum in
higher education, and have a higher tendency to drop out of school.
This study intends to explore on the services offered to students with disabilities, and the outcomes
of these services to their education and career goals. It will examine if the obstacles faced by special
needs children have to do with how effective the policies are in addressing the needs of such
children. This study is important to children with disabilities because it can help them discover the
education opportunities available for them, the institutions they can rely on for economic support,
and the treatment they should expect from the society.
RESEARCH QUESTIONS
Many studies focused on how the services for special needs children contribute to their education.
However, very few studies recognize the role of the society in their attitude towards success. This
paper answers the following questions: 1) how education affect the disabled, 2) how to improve
education outcomes for students with disabilities, 3) how can the society deal with the disabled
students, and 3) how to identify special learning disabilities.
METHODOLOGY AND DESIGN
In an attempt to answer the four research questions, four related empirical studies are evaluated. The
first study by Aron and Loprest in 2012 deals with the importance of special

Why Is Year Round School Important
How important can an education be? With the right one, it can be very important. Students need an
education, but it is just as important for them to be able to accommodate to the schedule. A student
has to be able to adjust to the schedule in order to achieve academic excellence and learn properly. If
I could plan my ideal school, I would make it year round, start school at 10:30AM, and have block
scheduling. Who needs to get an education? Young people ages 6–18 needs to receive an education.
This way the students can receive an education at a young age. Everyone needs to have a chance to
reach academic excellence. Why is school considered important? School is considered important
because it can help get students ready for their future occupations....show more content...
School should start at 10:30AM because this gives students an opportunity to get more sleep.
"Research suggests that adolescents require about 8.5 to 9.5 hours of sleep, but only 14% achieve
this goal, and approximately 70%of adolescents obtain less that 8 hours of sleep on a typical
weeknight," according to Julie Boergers, Ph.D. (Boergers, 2015). With early school start times,
students usually don't get enough sleep. Also, later school start times can help improve a student's
health and ability to function (Boergers, 2015). If school is started at 10:30AM and ends at
6:30PM it gives students an opportunity to get the sleep they need. Later school start times can
improve a student's ability to learn, but so can block scheduling. With block scheduling, longer and
more efficient lessons can be taught everyday, and there will not be as many students in each class,
so the teacher can help each student individually (2002–2015). Although block scheduling may help
a student, it can also be a disadvantage. All lessons taught in an average semester would have to be
taught in one quarter (2002–2015). Since block scheduling would reduce amount of students in each
class, there should be an average of 16 students. Small classes help improve a student's academic
achievement and their behavior. Also, they give teachers the opportunity to teach a longer amount of
time. Class–Size Reduction is trying to reduce classes sizes from an average of 25 down

Why High School Is Important To Me
High school taught me how to properly dissect a cat, how to find the missing angle of triangle, and
to raise my hand and ask for permission when i need to use the bathroom. What high school never
taught me was to learn how to find a job, pay taxes, buy a house, nor how to establish a good credit.
High school has given me a good education but it didn't shape me as a person, i was shaped by
people, experiences, failure, and loss. Through experience my parents and family members taught
me that when one door closes another one opens, how to be independent, and the difference from
right and wrong. Experience is one of the main keys to success, experience has taught me to make
good decisions. My parents took me traveling to show me when a person...show more content...

Essay on Why Students Should Go to School
Why should students go to school?
There are several reasons why kids need to go to school but to me, the top three reasons are
getting an education helps you go farther in life, it's required by the state that you go till you reach
a certain age, and it will help you learn social skills and help you be comfortable to talking to
people. Although students may not like going to school, it benefits them in the long run. It is
important for students to go to school to get an education. Even though some students may not like
to go to school it is required that they go. Even though students may not realize it but they also
learn social skills by making friends and talking in front of people. It's significant for students to go

If you ever went into a business where you had to do a presentation on a piece of work you've
been working on or if you came up with a new idea that you thought could help your business, you
would most likely have to present the information in front of your boss and coworkers. Having
social skills could play a big role in your presentation because if you was not comfortable talking
in front of a crowd, then you could either: freeze up while talking, talk too fast cause you're so
nervous and want to get the presentation over with, your face could turn red, etc. But, if you had
social skills and were use to talking in front of a group of people then you will be comfortable
presenting your project with no worries. Also by socializing students can make friends. By
making friends school could also be more enjoyable. You will have friends to eat lunch with;
friends to hang out with on the weekends and you will have friends in your classes so they will
be less boring. If you went to a school where you didn't have any friends or where you didn't like
anyone, then you will not enjoy the activities you may do in class and you may want to change
schools to find kids that you do like and will enjoy being around. By having social skills it will help
you talk to people and make friends.
Students may not like going to school but, it is for the best. By going to school students can get an
education and get a job or go to college and

It is common that most people believe success means having a high–powered job and earning a lot of
money. However, to a great extent, success is defined as a situation in which a person has achieved
his/her goal and is able to support him/herself morally and financially after completing the
educational process. In school thorough a good education, students learn how to plan to achieve their
goals. They also learn how to think critically and creatively, and improve the other skills they need.
By exploring different subjects and fields they recognize their interests and abilities which lead them
to achieve success. In schools students are encouraged to overcome their weaknesses through their
strengths. John Gatto is imprudent when he stated...show more content...
However, teachers try to teach their students to think critically by encouraging them to ask questions
like "Why do I think that", "What would happen if...", or "How are these two things different"
before doing any projects or learning any new subjects. The other skill which is taught in school is
problem solving skill which seems to be related to critical thinking. As Albert Einstein believes, "We
can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them" (Harris).
Thinking in a critical way, evaluating and understanding the relationship among the problem give a
person a new perspective to look at the problem differently in order to solve it. Learning to
communicate effectively with others is another skill which is taught to the students. Doing
presentation is a very common and good example for building students' communication skills.
Almost every subject in secondary school requires presentations, and as a result, the students learn
how to communicate with peers through discussions and gathering information. These skills prepare
students to pursue future opportunities beyond secondary school. Most schools offer students
variety of courses that they can choose from, but the majority of students don't have any ideas of
what they might be interested in and what they should pursue in future life. They can't blindly
predict what they would enjoy until they have enough information. Confused students can get help

Why Is High School So Important To Me
First of all, let's start with my background. I am an Asian american. Both of my parents were born
Vietnam. I was born in the United States. I know Vietnamese and English, but I am more fluent at
English. Ever since I was little both my parents have never spent much time with me, so I had to

my English was bad. My father motivated me work harder in school and to just ignore all the other

Why Is Education Important?
Why does society consider education such an important quest? Should there be a purpose for
education or should education simply be an intrinsic pursuit (Marples, 2010), where individuals
just want to learn and become more knowledgeable. Education should be accessible for all young
people to obtain skills required to become meaningful members of society, whether it is simply to
acquire knowledge or to acquire more purposeful skills for a meaningful profession. How that
occurs is determined by stakeholders commissioned to realise the aims for education devised by
governments, who ultimately decide what is best for society. Education can be applied to any
number of programmes that teach and encourage learning (Hand, 2010). The argument...show more

The purpose of this view of education is to prepare individuals for the real world, where
employment enables them to earn a living which in turn benefits society. The vocational view
requires a curriculum that has theoretical inquiry as its base. Students undertake practical activities
(Hand, 2010) specific for their chosen career path. Richard Pring (2004) argues that the liberal and
vocational views can be combined – resolved view, where theory and practice can be blended into
meaningful activities that have a holistic approach to student's education. An integrated curriculum
that shifts learning from knowledge–oriented to virtue–oriented and moves away from discrete
subject (Hand, 2010) areas. Integrated curriculums teach values based ideals that will educate
students into the type of people society want children to be (Hand, 2010).
Everyone has an equal right to an education (Warnock, 1975), what each individual chooses to do
with their education is up to them. Education should be liberating, having the capacity to involve
students in the pure joy of learning and increasing their capacity to think. Why get educated if
education does not serve any instrumental purpose (Marples, 2010). Society would suffer without
individuals trained in the required skills to undertake work that maintains humanity. The most
obvious function of

Why Is School Uniform Important?
I agree that school uniform should be worn by students at all times no matter what. That's because
uniform means a distinctive outfit intended to identify those who wear it to a specific group. School
uniform is an outfit that identifies a student in the school to a normal person outside of school. It is
important for various reasons however, I chose 3 reasons that I thought was most important. 1) It
gives the students a sense of unity and equality between them. 2) It decreases or stops the chances of
bullying. 3) School uniform creates a feel of pride in the student school. Uniform helps students'
helps students with their lives directly or indirectly.
Firstly I will be talking about how school uniform creates a sense of unity and equality between
students. We all start school at a very tender age. All our lives start in school because school isn't
just for education but it evolves our lives and emotions; and teaches us the importance of friendship.
And wearing a school uniform gives...show more content...
Bullying means to torment someone because of something they see different in them by using their
superior strength to intimidate them. This happens in schools a lot in most world but mostly in
western worlds' when for example a poor teenage girl wear un–expensive clothes and then a rich teen
girl sees her, she then tries to treat badly and embarrass her. Same thing with boys however, boys
are kind of different they don't go for difference in clothes and look. They go for strength if a boy
sees that there is someone that is vulnerable and weak they will try to attack and show his
superiority in strength. So school uniform destroys and removes all that superiority and changes
between people because they are wearing the same thing, it keeps the students in the same lane and
decreases their chances of bullying. Thus school uniform is important because it stops or mainly
decreases the chances of

Why Physical Education is Important Essay
Why Physical Education is Important
Education can be defined as the systematic development of the mind, capabilities, and/or character
through instruction or study. This is also the purpose of education. This purpose is met through the
curriculum taught, how the curriculum is taught, and the nature of the curriculum taught. Physical
education is just one aspect that should be taught to students.
The purpose of education is for a student to develop character, mental abilities, and physical abilities.
This is why school and education are so important, because without these skills one cannot live up to
his/her full potential or even function in society. My purpose as a teacher is to give students
opportunities to...show more content...
Another way this happens is by failure. If a student gets beat once, twice, or even three times the
same way, that student will figure out a way to stop the action and he/she will not get beat that way
again. Finally one's sense of self is developed through physical activity. This can be through team or
individual sports. In a team sport one works with others. Through successes and failures one defines
whom they are whether they know it or not. In an individual sport students are dependant entirely on
themselves. If they push themselves then they will have a better opportunity to win. The amount of
effort a student is capable of putting forth to win is also a defining characteristic.
The nature of knowledge in physical education can be absolute or relative depending on the topic.
The absolute knowledge has to deal with anatomy, physiology, or even sports themselves. Most
sports do not change. The way they are played can change but the basic principles stay the same.
Relative knowledge in physical education involves training, methods of playing sports, and
nutrition. Training is different for everyone, what works for someone might not work for somebody
else. For instance, someone would never ask Barry Sanders to run through a defender while they
would not ask Jerome Bettis to run around that same defender. The final way that knowledge can be
relative is through nutrition. A good example of

English is, almost certainly, the most important subject that a child can learn in school. Without
knowing proper English, a child will not be able to communicate effectively with the English
speaking nation. They would be shut off from education and other people in this country. A person
who does not poses proper English limits his or her ability to achieve their highest potential.
Knowledge of the English language is important to learn to be able to communicate with others, in
the teaching of immigrant students, and in finding and maintaining a job. By assuming that students
will learn proper communication skills without guidance is a big mistake. Individuals should begin

One kind of problem that immigrants share is the need to learn the English language, even if
learning English is a very hard language to learn. When immigrants do not learn English, they are
fated to remain second class citizens or never become a citizen. They are ghettoized and never
integrate into the main stream of society. They are forced to take low paying jobs, their children are
raised in poverty, and they frequently do not finish high school, they take low paying jobs
themselves, raise their own children in poverty and remain in this never ending cycle. Furthermore
when you move to a different country or region, learning the local language will help you to
communicate and fit in with the local community. Doing so will establish your interest in and
commitment to the new country. Many businesses do not bother to learn other languages because;
they believe that most of the people they do business with can speak English. The lack of
understanding the English language puts the non–English speaking individuals at a greater
disadvantage, then those who understand and articulate English. It is very important for immigrants
to learn and understand English in order for them to be successful and live the American dream.
(Poisl, 2011). A person needs to have the ability to demonstrate an appropriate understanding of the
English language, in order to impress potential employers. According to the author of the Article

Why Is It Important To Follow School Rules
Childhood is a totalitarian regime, and schools are the mental concentration camps. Education is
described by the mis–educated as real–life preparation; in actuality, schools train people to accept a
society where the government and other institutions tell us what to think and do. Experience is the
best teacher, and the purpose of school is to prevent experience.
If school attendance were voluntary, schools would have to reform themselves to meet students
needs, because if students could leave on a whim, schools would suddenly have to prove their
worth. But by not giving us a choice about whether to accept the government's favors early on, we
all unwillingly sign a contract with Uncle Sam that says: "Since you did so much for me in my

Because freedom is only an abstract theory to students, it's easy to remove their rights outside of
school as well. Curfews, age–minimums for purchase of certain legal items, mandatory military
service, and child labor laws are all the logical extensions of a school system that teaches that
thinking is best left to authorities instead of individuals.
If the point of the curfew is to cut down on crime, and if people of all ages are capable of crime,
why are only youths not allowed outside at night? Easy. They can't vote. If a teenager is out at
2am and kills three people, he should be punished accordingly. But if a teenager is out at 3am,
playing roller hockey with his friends, he should not be hassled because the government says it's
past his bedtime. There are loopholes, however. Minors who have worn political T–shirts, passed out
fliers, or had protests while hanging out past the curfew have been left alone by the police or won
court cases against them, because they were exercising their First Amendment rights.
Once American men turn 18, even though they are still too young for legal drinking, they are
forced to sign up for Selected Service (the SS initials are appropriate). This allows the government
to force any young man to die in battle if there's a vaguely defined "crisis." If

Importance Of Catholic Education Essay
Why Catholic Education is Important to Me
Ever since I was little, I have felt that Catholic education has been the best fit for me. Catholic
education is important to me because I am able to practice my faith and get an individualized
education that will help prepare me for college and for real life. At school, praying and worshiping
with my friends has always been natural to me, as we feel more like a family than just classmates.
With a faith filled, family based education that teaches me not only academic lessons, but life
lessons, I know I will be adequately prepared to give back, especially give back to the Giver of all
life.
Firstly, I feel that I have received a more personalized education, as Catholic schools typically
have smaller class sizes than public schools. I am able to focus on my school work and my
spiritual life without most of the extra distractions. By nurturing my academics, I am able to tend
and be tended to by my teachers and my parents, who support me by teaching me not only school
lessons, but also valuable life skills and morals.
Another reason why Catholic education is important to me is that since I have always attended
Catholic school, it has become like a second family me. During religion class, my friends and I
frequently pray for each other and we ask others to pray for our personal needs as well. Some of my
classmates and I are so close, we are like siblings rather than teenagers who go to school together. If

Importance Of Communication In School
The Importance of Communication is important to understand; particularly in school.
Communicating effectively is the best way to keep everyone connected and informed about what
is going on. Email is the most efficient manner of staying in contact with a teacher, coach, or
another student. "The email channel is an oldie but goodie and a key channel for schools. We all
love it because it is a great form of one–to–one personal communication." (Williams, para. 20). Many
teachers have online classrooms where students are able to access their homework. This is important
because the students need to know what assignments they need to complete. For this reason, it is
crucial to both students and teachers at Minnewaska to read their emails...show more content...
Important messages can only be acknowledged if the students at Minnewaska check their email.
"The use of email can range from reminders, policies, registration, newsletters and a variety of
announcements (Williams, para. 22)." Kids form friendships with their coaches, and they respect
each other and communicate about the expectations they both have. "Coaches need to be able to
clearly communicate expectations, goals, standards, and feelings to their athletes... And although we
tend to think of effective communicators as being able to send clear messages that are interpreted as
intended, communication is a two–way street that also involves receiving messages. For a coach, this
means listening attentively. Athletes need to be able to communicate their goals, frustrations, and
feelings to their coach" (Burton & Raedeke, para. 5). Coaches can communicate with athletes or club
members about practices or expectation they have for the student when they aren't taking part in the
activity. Students always need to be reading their mail so they don't miss any important
announcements.

Essay on The Benefits of Preschool
The Benefits of Preschool
Preschool isn't just a place for parents to drop off their children while they are at work for the day.
It is in preschool where children learn the necessary skills needed to succeed in school and in life.
With high–quality preschools and qualified teachers the possibilities are endless. It's not only the
children who reap the benefits of Early Childhood Education; their parents, fellow peers, and even
society feel the positive effects of quality preschool programs. Children enrolled in quality
preschool programs are more likely to succeed academically and socially when they are older.
Many children begin school at the ages of 5 or 6, the age when a child enters kindergarten.
However, children?s...show more content...
Such things as respect, responsibility, and empathy for their fellow peers are all characteristics they
acquire while attending preschool. Independence is another key attribute that students learn in the
early years of preschool. Such simple tasks like tying your shoes or zippering up a coat all
contribute to the independence of these small children. Anything that allows them to do for
themselves, rather than rely on the help of others is a positive thing for them. Another important life
lesson that they learn early on and will carry with them for the rest of their lives is that they are
accountable of the decisions they make. A teacher may give them an option of a particular juice or
snack at snack time; this particular choice must be thought out carefully because once they?ve taken
the juice or snack they can?t change it (Rhodes, 1999). This teaches them to conscientiously think
about the decisions they are about to make, knowing that they have to live with their decisions.
The long term benefits of quality preschool programs can be noticed even after high school and
college. Children who attend quality preschool programs at a young age are more equipped to be
successful later on in life. The Carolina

Why A High School Diploma Is Important
The reason why I think it's important to have a high school diploma in your future is because
certain jobs that make the big money it's a requirement for you to have a high school diploma. In
this generation it all comes down to money, how much you making, how much you spend and if
you don't have a really good job because you didn't get your high school diploma then you have to
watch what you spend your money on. It is some jobs that you don't need a high school diploma too

making a lot money. It's also important to have it in the future because of your children why I say
that because every parent wants to make their children life better than

Why Go Back To School Is Important
First I wold let them know that I chose to go back to school not them and that I want to make a
better living for me and my kids. Then I would let them know that I have to set aside the going out
and traveling for a while at least till I get the hang of everything, I have three kids I tell them
everyday that school is important because without reading, writing, and arithmetic. You will need
these three things in order to complete schooling. I also state to my kids that If you do not graduate
from any schooling that it may or may not be easy to find a job. Most people that don't complete
school only get the basic essentials when they return then they go on to college. I just want what's
best for me and my kids.
Its good to have a good support system behind you because if not you will lack the responsibility
of what you need assistance with. Some friends do not understand that you have to put some things

fun and do what you need to do. Like i tell my kids education first then fun. They will thank me in

Why Is Elementary School So Important To Me

snap on ties that simulated the exact feeling of being slowly choked by an angry toddler. And if
that wasn't enough, because it was a catholic school my teacher was a mean pric. It wasn't just her
actions, it also was how she looked. I mean like I know that not everyone loves their job but
emulating how much you don't like it doesn't help. Especially if your job is teaching a class of 2nd
graders. But to top it off, we had to go to this boring church that was right next to the school and

Essay on Education Is Not the Key to Success
About 20 years ago, education was something that a person did only if he/she wanted to.
Unfortunately, as the years went by, the idea of "Education is the key to success" got more, and
more enforced. People eventually started to believe that education was the single way to succeed,
and the only thing needed for success. Despite the fact, many Americans believe a college degree
will lead them to be successful, in reality, education is not the solitary way to succeed. Not
everybody can receive an education, or even an excellent education from a "decent academic"
college/university. "There are many students who have no desire to attend college and who would be
much better off if they...show more content...
Education or book learning had nothing to do with the success of those people that chose to take
another path rather than the typical one (education). People can be successful in any field with
the right skills. Book learning has a lot to do with the knowledge a person has, but not with the
skills a person has. There are many A+ graduates out there that cannot get a job, or are stuck
working at a place that had nothing to do with their degree. A numerous amount of students in
college care more about grades than knowledge; some graduate having forgotten everything they
ever learned. So there goes a college graduate with little knowledge and no skills. Can a person
like that succeed? No. That's why education is not the key to success. People cannot just go to
college and expect that passing classes will get them to succeed. The main thing a person needs in
order to succeed is drive, motivation and passion. He/she has to know what their end goal is and
what they need to do to get it. "Commit to the achievement of the elusive goal in your life"
(Arcement, 101). The person has to go about learning what skills will take her or him to be
successful. One of the main skills a person should have is persistence. A person must always keep
going after his or her goal even if it takes

Why Is School Important Essay

  • 1. Education and Disability INTRODUCTION The importance of education for all children, especially for those with disability and with limited social and economic opportunities, is indisputable. Indeed, the special education system allowed children with disability increased access to public education. Apart from that, the special education system has provided for them an effective framework for their education, and for the institutions involved to identify children with disability sooner. In turn, this promotes greater inclusion of children with disability alongside their nondisabled peers. In spite of these advances however, many obstacles remain, including delays in providing services for children with disability, as well as regulatory and...show more content... Also, they are often held to lower expectations, are less likely to take the full academic curriculum in higher education, and have a higher tendency to drop out of school. This study intends to explore on the services offered to students with disabilities, and the outcomes of these services to their education and career goals. It will examine if the obstacles faced by special needs children have to do with how effective the policies are in addressing the needs of such children. This study is important to children with disabilities because it can help them discover the education opportunities available for them, the institutions they can rely on for economic support, and the treatment they should expect from the society. RESEARCH QUESTIONS Many studies focused on how the services for special needs children contribute to their education. However, very few studies recognize the role of the society in their attitude towards success. This paper answers the following questions: 1) how education affect the disabled, 2) how to improve education outcomes for students with disabilities, 3) how can the society deal with the disabled students, and 3) how to identify special learning disabilities. METHODOLOGY AND DESIGN In an attempt to answer the four research questions, four related empirical studies are evaluated. The first study by Aron and Loprest in 2012 deals with the importance of special Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Why Is Year Round School Important How important can an education be? With the right one, it can be very important. Students need an education, but it is just as important for them to be able to accommodate to the schedule. A student has to be able to adjust to the schedule in order to achieve academic excellence and learn properly. If I could plan my ideal school, I would make it year round, start school at 10:30AM, and have block scheduling. Who needs to get an education? Young people ages 6–18 needs to receive an education. This way the students can receive an education at a young age. Everyone needs to have a chance to reach academic excellence. Why is school considered important? School is considered important because it can help get students ready for their future occupations....show more content... School should start at 10:30AM because this gives students an opportunity to get more sleep. "Research suggests that adolescents require about 8.5 to 9.5 hours of sleep, but only 14% achieve this goal, and approximately 70%of adolescents obtain less that 8 hours of sleep on a typical weeknight," according to Julie Boergers, Ph.D. (Boergers, 2015). With early school start times, students usually don't get enough sleep. Also, later school start times can help improve a student's health and ability to function (Boergers, 2015). If school is started at 10:30AM and ends at 6:30PM it gives students an opportunity to get the sleep they need. Later school start times can improve a student's ability to learn, but so can block scheduling. With block scheduling, longer and more efficient lessons can be taught everyday, and there will not be as many students in each class, so the teacher can help each student individually (2002–2015). Although block scheduling may help a student, it can also be a disadvantage. All lessons taught in an average semester would have to be taught in one quarter (2002–2015). Since block scheduling would reduce amount of students in each class, there should be an average of 16 students. Small classes help improve a student's academic achievement and their behavior. Also, they give teachers the opportunity to teach a longer amount of time. Class–Size Reduction is trying to reduce classes sizes from an average of 25 down Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Why High School Is Important To Me High school taught me how to properly dissect a cat, how to find the missing angle of triangle, and to raise my hand and ask for permission when i need to use the bathroom. What high school never taught me was to learn how to find a job, pay taxes, buy a house, nor how to establish a good credit. High school has given me a good education but it didn't shape me as a person, i was shaped by people, experiences, failure, and loss. Through experience my parents and family members taught me that when one door closes another one opens, how to be independent, and the difference from right and wrong. Experience is one of the main keys to success, experience has taught me to make good decisions. My parents took me traveling to show me when a person...show more content... • 4. Essay on Why Students Should Go to School Why should students go to school? There are several reasons why kids need to go to school but to me, the top three reasons are getting an education helps you go farther in life, it's required by the state that you go till you reach a certain age, and it will help you learn social skills and help you be comfortable to talking to people. Although students may not like going to school, it benefits them in the long run. It is important for students to go to school to get an education. Even though some students may not like to go to school it is required that they go. Even though students may not realize it but they also learn social skills by making friends and talking in front of people. It's significant for students to go to school so...show more content... If you ever went into a business where you had to do a presentation on a piece of work you've been working on or if you came up with a new idea that you thought could help your business, you would most likely have to present the information in front of your boss and coworkers. Having social skills could play a big role in your presentation because if you was not comfortable talking in front of a crowd, then you could either: freeze up while talking, talk too fast cause you're so nervous and want to get the presentation over with, your face could turn red, etc. But, if you had social skills and were use to talking in front of a group of people then you will be comfortable presenting your project with no worries. Also by socializing students can make friends. By making friends school could also be more enjoyable. You will have friends to eat lunch with; friends to hang out with on the weekends and you will have friends in your classes so they will be less boring. If you went to a school where you didn't have any friends or where you didn't like anyone, then you will not enjoy the activities you may do in class and you may want to change schools to find kids that you do like and will enjoy being around. By having social skills it will help you talk to people and make friends. Students may not like going to school but, it is for the best. • 5. It is common that most people believe success means having a high–powered job and earning a lot of money. However, to a great extent, success is defined as a situation in which a person has achieved his/her goal and is able to support him/herself morally and financially after completing the educational process. In school thorough a good education, students learn how to plan to achieve their goals. They also learn how to think critically and creatively, and improve the other skills they need. By exploring different subjects and fields they recognize their interests and abilities which lead them to achieve success. In schools students are encouraged to overcome their weaknesses through their strengths. John Gatto is imprudent when he stated...show more content... However, teachers try to teach their students to think critically by encouraging them to ask questions like "Why do I think that", "What would happen if...", or "How are these two things different" before doing any projects or learning any new subjects. The other skill which is taught in school is problem solving skill which seems to be related to critical thinking. As Albert Einstein believes, "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them" (Harris). Thinking in a critical way, evaluating and understanding the relationship among the problem give a person a new perspective to look at the problem differently in order to solve it. Learning to communicate effectively with others is another skill which is taught to the students. Doing presentation is a very common and good example for building students' communication skills. Almost every subject in secondary school requires presentations, and as a result, the students learn how to communicate with peers through discussions and gathering information. These skills prepare students to pursue future opportunities beyond secondary school. Most schools offer students variety of courses that they can choose from, but the majority of students don't have any ideas of what they might be interested in and what they should pursue in future life. They can't blindly predict what they would enjoy until they have enough information. Confused students can get help Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I know Vietnamese and English, but I am more fluent at English. Ever since I was little both my parents have never spent much time with me, so I had to teach myself most of things that I've learned today. I would get in trouble through out elementary school because I didn't known how to speak English and that would effect my academic and the other kids around me. I would get picked on for being different. I was too short, not athletic, and my English was bad. My father motivated me work harder in school and to just ignore all the other kids. After, that I was never bullied again and I made it to my goal. I've finally received the presidential award I was working so hard for. When I reach to high school I've realize if I were to work as hard as I did in middle school I can make it into a good college and achieve my dream job of becoming an general dentist. Through out high school it as substantially tougher for me because of all the classes I was taking. I did get the pin for being on the honor roll for one year during my freshmen year, but that's when the family crisis started happening. • 8. Why Is Education Important? Why does society consider education such an important quest? Should there be a purpose for education or should education simply be an intrinsic pursuit (Marples, 2010), where individuals just want to learn and become more knowledgeable. Education should be accessible for all young people to obtain skills required to become meaningful members of society, whether it is simply to acquire knowledge or to acquire more purposeful skills for a meaningful profession. How that occurs is determined by stakeholders commissioned to realise the aims for education devised by governments, who ultimately decide what is best for society. The vocational view requires a curriculum that has theoretical inquiry as its base. Students undertake practical activities (Hand, 2010) specific for their chosen career path. Richard Pring (2004) argues that the liberal and vocational views can be combined – resolved view, where theory and practice can be blended into meaningful activities that have a holistic approach to student's education. An integrated curriculum that shifts learning from knowledge–oriented to virtue–oriented and moves away from discrete subject (Hand, 2010) areas. Integrated curriculums teach values based ideals that will educate students into the type of people society want children to be (Hand, 2010). Everyone has an equal right to an education (Warnock, 1975), what each individual chooses to do with their education is up to them. Education should be liberating, having the capacity to involve students in the pure joy of learning and increasing their capacity to think. Why get educated if education does not serve any instrumental purpose (Marples, 2010). Society would suffer without individuals trained in the required skills to undertake work that maintains humanity. The most obvious function of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. Why Is School Uniform Important? I agree that school uniform should be worn by students at all times no matter what. That's because uniform means a distinctive outfit intended to identify those who wear it to a specific group. School uniform is an outfit that identifies a student in the school to a normal person outside of school. It is important for various reasons however, I chose 3 reasons that I thought was most important. 1) It gives the students a sense of unity and equality between them. 2) It decreases or stops the chances of bullying. 3) School uniform creates a feel of pride in the student school. Uniform helps students' helps students with their lives directly or indirectly. Firstly I will be talking about how school uniform creates a sense of unity and equality between students. We all start school at a very tender age. All our lives start in school because school isn't just for education but it evolves our lives and emotions; and teaches us the importance of friendship. And wearing a school uniform gives...show more content... Bullying means to torment someone because of something they see different in them by using their superior strength to intimidate them. This happens in schools a lot in most world but mostly in western worlds' when for example a poor teenage girl wear un–expensive clothes and then a rich teen girl sees her, she then tries to treat badly and embarrass her. Same thing with boys however, boys are kind of different they don't go for difference in clothes and look. They go for strength if a boy sees that there is someone that is vulnerable and weak they will try to attack and show his superiority in strength. So school uniform destroys and removes all that superiority and changes between people because they are wearing the same thing, it keeps the students in the same lane and decreases their chances of bullying. Thus school uniform is important because it stops or mainly decreases the chances of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Why Physical Education is Important Essay Why Physical Education is Important Education can be defined as the systematic development of the mind, capabilities, and/or character through instruction or study. This is also the purpose of education. This purpose is met through the curriculum taught, how the curriculum is taught, and the nature of the curriculum taught. Physical education is just one aspect that should be taught to students. The purpose of education is for a student to develop character, mental abilities, and physical abilities. This is why school and education are so important, because without these skills one cannot live up to his/her full potential or even function in society. My purpose as a teacher is to give students opportunities to...show more content... Another way this happens is by failure. If a student gets beat once, twice, or even three times the same way, that student will figure out a way to stop the action and he/she will not get beat that way again. Finally one's sense of self is developed through physical activity. This can be through team or individual sports. In a team sport one works with others. Through successes and failures one defines whom they are whether they know it or not. In an individual sport students are dependant entirely on themselves. If they push themselves then they will have a better opportunity to win. The amount of effort a student is capable of putting forth to win is also a defining characteristic. The nature of knowledge in physical education can be absolute or relative depending on the topic. The absolute knowledge has to deal with anatomy, physiology, or even sports themselves. Most sports do not change. The way they are played can change but the basic principles stay the same. Relative knowledge in physical education involves training, methods of playing sports, and nutrition. Training is different for everyone, what works for someone might not work for somebody else. For instance, someone would never ask Barry Sanders to run through a defender while they would not ask Jerome Bettis to run around that same defender. The final way that knowledge can be relative is through nutrition. A good example of Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Without knowing proper English, a child will not be able to communicate effectively with the English speaking nation. They would be shut off from education and other people in this country. A person who does not poses proper English limits his or her ability to achieve their highest potential. Knowledge of the English language is important to learn to be able to communicate with others, in the teaching of immigrant students, and in finding and maintaining a job. One kind of problem that immigrants share is the need to learn the English language, even if learning English is a very hard language to learn. When immigrants do not learn English, they are fated to remain second class citizens or never become a citizen. They are ghettoized and never integrate into the main stream of society. They are forced to take low paying jobs, their children are raised in poverty, and they frequently do not finish high school, they take low paying jobs themselves, raise their own children in poverty and remain in this never ending cycle. Furthermore when you move to a different country or region, learning the local language will help you to communicate and fit in with the local community. Doing so will establish your interest in and commitment to the new country. Many businesses do not bother to learn other languages because; they believe that most of the people they do business with can speak English. The lack of understanding the English language puts the non–English speaking individuals at a greater disadvantage, then those who understand and articulate English. It is very important for immigrants to learn and understand English in order for them to be successful and live the American dream. (Poisl, 2011). A person needs to have the ability to demonstrate an appropriate understanding of the English language, in order to impress potential employers. • 13. Why Is It Important To Follow School Rules Childhood is a totalitarian regime, and schools are the mental concentration camps. Education is described by the mis–educated as real–life preparation; in actuality, schools train people to accept a society where the government and other institutions tell us what to think and do. Experience is the best teacher, and the purpose of school is to prevent experience. If school attendance were voluntary, schools would have to reform themselves to meet students needs, because if students could leave on a whim, schools would suddenly have to prove their worth. But by not giving us a choice about whether to accept the government's favors early on, we all unwillingly sign a contract with Uncle Sam that says: "Since you did so much for me in my ...show more content... Because freedom is only an abstract theory to students, it's easy to remove their rights outside of school as well. Curfews, age–minimums for purchase of certain legal items, mandatory military service, and child labor laws are all the logical extensions of a school system that teaches that thinking is best left to authorities instead of individuals. If the point of the curfew is to cut down on crime, and if people of all ages are capable of crime, why are only youths not allowed outside at night? Easy. They can't vote. If a teenager is out at 2am and kills three people, he should be punished accordingly. But if a teenager is out at 3am, playing roller hockey with his friends, he should not be hassled because the government says it's past his bedtime. There are loopholes, however. Minors who have worn political T–shirts, passed out fliers, or had protests while hanging out past the curfew have been left alone by the police or won court cases against them, because they were exercising their First Amendment rights. Once American men turn 18, even though they are still too young for legal drinking, they are forced to sign up for Selected Service (the SS initials are appropriate). This allows the government to force any young man to die in battle if there's a vaguely defined "crisis." If Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Importance Of Catholic Education Essay Why Catholic Education is Important to Me Ever since I was little, I have felt that Catholic education has been the best fit for me. Catholic education is important to me because I am able to practice my faith and get an individualized education that will help prepare me for college and for real life. At school, praying and worshiping with my friends has always been natural to me, as we feel more like a family than just classmates. With a faith filled, family based education that teaches me not only academic lessons, but life lessons, I know I will be adequately prepared to give back, especially give back to the Giver of all life. Firstly, I feel that I have received a more personalized education, as Catholic schools typically have smaller class sizes than public schools. I am able to focus on my school work and my spiritual life without most of the extra distractions. By nurturing my academics, I am able to tend and be tended to by my teachers and my parents, who support me by teaching me not only school lessons, but also valuable life skills and morals. Another reason why Catholic education is important to me is that since I have always attended Catholic school, it has become like a second family me. During religion class, my friends and I frequently pray for each other and we ask others to pray for our personal needs as well. Some of my classmates and I are so close, we are like siblings rather than teenagers who go to school together. If I attended a public school, with Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Communicating effectively is the best way to keep everyone connected and informed about what is going on. Email is the most efficient manner of staying in contact with a teacher, coach, or another student. "The email channel is an oldie but goodie and a key channel for schools. We all love it because it is a great form of one–to–one personal communication." (Williams, para. 20). Many teachers have online classrooms where students are able to access their homework. Kids form friendships with their coaches, and they respect each other and communicate about the expectations they both have. "Coaches need to be able to clearly communicate expectations, goals, standards, and feelings to their athletes... And although we tend to think of effective communicators as being able to send clear messages that are interpreted as intended, communication is a two–way street that also involves receiving messages. For a coach, this means listening attentively. Athletes need to be able to communicate their goals, frustrations, and feelings to their coach" (Burton & Raedeke, para. 5). Coaches can communicate with athletes or club members about practices or expectation they have for the student when they aren't taking part in the activity. Students always need to be reading their mail so they don't miss any important announcements. It is in preschool where children learn the necessary skills needed to succeed in school and in life. With high–quality preschools and qualified teachers the possibilities are endless. It's not only the children who reap the benefits of Early Childhood Education; their parents, fellow peers, and even society feel the positive effects of quality preschool programs. Independence is another key attribute that students learn in the early years of preschool. Such simple tasks like tying your shoes or zippering up a coat all contribute to the independence of these small children. Anything that allows them to do for themselves, rather than rely on the help of others is a positive thing for them. Another important life lesson that they learn early on and will carry with them for the rest of their lives is that they are accountable of the decisions they make. A teacher may give them an option of a particular juice or snack at snack time; this particular choice must be thought out carefully because once they?ve taken the juice or snack they can?t change it (Rhodes, 1999). This teaches them to conscientiously think about the decisions they are about to make, knowing that they have to live with their decisions. The long term benefits of quality preschool programs can be noticed even after high school and college. Children who attend quality preschool programs at a young age are more equipped to be successful later on in life. The Carolina Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I have literally zero good memories from my grade school years. The only things that comes to mind when i even think of elementary school are upset teachers, disappointing grades, and terribly mean students. I was aЛњ very hyper active child but a lot of teachers mistakened my hyperness for a bad apple. This led to a lot of phone calls home, letters to my mom, and my desk being seated next to or in front of my teacher. Unfortunately, as the years went by, the idea of "Education is the key to success" got more, and more enforced. People eventually started to believe that education was the single way to succeed, and the only thing needed for success. Despite the fact, many Americans believe a college degree will lead them to be successful, in reality, education is not the solitary way to succeed. People can be successful in any field with the right skills. Book learning has a lot to do with the knowledge a person has, but not with the skills a person has. There are many A+ graduates out there that cannot get a job, or are stuck working at a place that had nothing to do with their degree. A numerous amount of students in college care more about grades than knowledge; some graduate having forgotten everything they ever learned. So there goes a college graduate with little knowledge and no skills. Can a person like that succeed? No. That's why education is not the key to success. People cannot just go to college and expect that passing classes will get them to succeed. The main thing a person needs in order to succeed is drive, motivation and passion.
