Descriptive Essay
It was a seemingly beautiful day as I drove on a joy ride in my bright blue sports car, with the
wind in my hair. This is an everyday activity for me. My friends would mock me saying, "You
spend more money on gas than you make working." I laughed to myself at the thought of jokes
amongst my friends. That happiness was soon halted. As I continued driving, I saw a car coming
rapidly around the curve. The car did not show any signs of slowing down as it headed towards the
intersection. The light turned yellow and then quickly red. Another object caught my eye that made
me fear what was going to happen next. A young couple started crossing the street wearing fancy
attire. The first thought that came to mind was, 'they are...show more content...
One of the police officers came up to me introduced himself, asked me my name and started, "Have
you ever seen this driver before? On the road or around town?" I quickly responded, "No, I have not
officer." He continued, "I learned from the call back to the station that the driver, David Chrisenger,
is considered the town drunk and does not currently have a valid license due to drinking and
driving". He asked me some questions and asked me to fill out an incident report. Still shaken up by
the whole incident I gladly accepted. The officer ended our conversation. "Thank you so much for
your time, Kevin. We really appreciate it."
The only thought running through my head on my way home was how much I had not
appreciated my wife and children. To witness something of that nature makes one conscientious
about what you have and how quickly it could vanish. I vowed after that day to speak out against
drinking and driving and the terrible outcomes that can transpire from something that some do
not view as a "big deal". It is apparent that better ways have to be found for getting drunk drivers off
the road. I encourage anyone to be responsible for their lives and others by agreeing to never drink
and drive again, and to also aid your family and friends in doing so. Have a designated driver each
night or call a cab. Everyone is capable of saving a

Descriptive Essay Rough Draft
For my story, I would first make the web, gather information on my character(s). Then, I would
start a rough draft putting all the information into a story. One day, my family decided to take a
weekend trip into the sunny wilderness. As we were driving down the dirt road, we came upon an
animal crossing right in front of us. My husband slammed on the brakes, and the animal turned
around and put up his arms up like he was ready to fight. It was a kangaroo! It was Edward, the
kangaroo that the Forest Ranger has been talking about at the community meetings. He was golden
brown in color, hairy, little bitty eyes, long skinny tail and hopped around like he was on a pogo
stick. We all looked at one another with hesitation, wonder, and astonishment. How could we even
grasp the...show more content...
My daughters sitting in the back seat of the car are trying to take a picture of it with their I–phones.
I'm the only calm one and tells my husband to get back in the car and let's go back the other way
and call the Forest Ranger. As we turn the car around, the kangaroo starts following us, hopping
alongside the car. Then he jumps in the backseat of the car, and my goofy husband decides to
stop. The hairy kangaroo stretches over the seat and punches my husband in the face. While my
husband is trying to fight Edward off, other kangaroos are surrounding our car. We all get out,
and they take us into the dark, creepy wilderness. Then we slowly come out of the wilderness in
the morning and guess what? We are all kangaroos. I felt itchy and full of energy for the reason I
just wanted to hop. I wanted to hop all around the wilderness like no body's business. I seemed
anxious and on edge not knowing if I'm going to return back to a human being. My human body felt
trapped in this skin tight hide. I couldn't breathe or talk. I would just make loud funny noises. I

Descriptive Essay About A Garden
Garden Box The sun is shining bright over the rows of newly sprouted vegetables and fruits.
Bright red strawberries peak out from under dark green leaves. The thin leaves of the corn plants
rustle in the breeze. A wooden basket rests at my feet identical to the one in my grandmothers
hands. We slowly fill them with fresh strawberries and small cucumbers.I'm in my favorite place
my grandmother's garden. Stretching out with rows and rows of all kinds of fruits and
vegetables that she grows for cooking into fresh pies, canning into pickles, and pressing into
some of the best raspberry jam in the world, I help gather the harvest. Every summer I spend two
weeks up north with my grandparents. I fish and swim but my absolute favorite thing for as long
as I can remember is spending long hours in the garden with my grandma. It was in her garden
that I learned the perfect size cucumber to make pickles and how to find raspberries hidden deep
in the thorny bushes without scratching myself. I will always remember and cherish time spent
in my grandmothers garden. It's those memories that prompted me to create my own garden
when I turned sixteen. I had asked my parents to help me plant a garden at our house every summer
for as long as I can remember but their answer had always been no. It was too much work, no one
was home to take care of a garden their lists of reasons went on and on every year. It was during my
Junior year when I asked my mom if I could plant a garden and instead of

Descriptive Essay About A Song
One day during my sophomore year of high school while I was waiting for my class to start, I
decided to explore new genres of music and artists that I haven't listened to before. I was sitting on
the floor outside of my classroom searching through Spotify for something new and exciting. After
looking through the Classic Rock section on Spotify, I came across the band Queen. Since that
moment, I have been and avid Queen listener and have listened to all their songs. I have been
particularly fond of their albums The Game, The Miracle and Night at the Opera.
The first Queen song I heard was Bohemian Rhapsody from the album Night at the Opera. It was
around 7:45 am, the morning was very still and quiet and the sky was clear. My surroundings
became increasingly louder as the school day was about to begin and it was a cool morning unlike
the typical Floridian morning weather. After scrolling through various Queen songs on Spotify, I
stumbled upon as song I have heard about through friends but not listened to: Bohemian Rhapsody.
Just like the eerily still morning, the exposition of the song was smooth and relaxed. The beginning
of the song sounded like there were many voices in harmony and the hazy, smooth timbre resonated
in my ear buds. The lyrics of the song matched with the eerie quality of the voices, the lyrics
indicate that the singers are in some state of confusion and are unclear of their surroundings. The
singers hold the last word of each verse for a beat longer than

Descriptive Essay Of A Restaurant
Once I stepped inside the restaurant I automatically could hear the music playing at a moderate
level and the laughter of the customers. Right off the back the restaurant's ambiance had a positive
vibe. Mindful, it was a Saturday late afternoon. Mary Jane Burger and Brew is a local restaurant
trying to stay true to its past. The granddaughter of the original owner now runs the place with the
intention of serving good quality food where the ingredients are fresh, mouth watering, and surely
not filled with antibiotics and all that other genetically modified elements found in processed foods.
The vintage, rustic looking place, holds a small town atmosphere with a big taste.
The host sat my sister and I at a table in the middle of the dining area. A giant window let sunlight
flood into the room and the speakers provided a good backdrop of music to help engage
conversation. The restaurant itself seems fairly modern: leather seating, dark wood tables, and
mason jar for glasses. It is the epitome of a hang out spot for any teen, millennial, or elder
meetup. The staff caters to the needs of the customers and are always ready to help out in any
way possible. I started the meal off with a glass of sweet tea that never made it lower then the
halfway point. The waitress was always there with a pitcher of their home brewed sweet tea. The
tea itself was not too sweet, it had the subtle taste of the bitterness that tea should have. In other
words it did not taste like someone dumped a bag

How to Write a Descriptive Essay
More than many other types of essays, descriptive essays strive to create a deeply involved and
vivid experience for the reader. Great descriptive essays achieve this affect not through facts and
statistics but by using detailed observations and descriptions.
What do you want to describe?
As you get started on your descriptive essay, it's important for you to identify exactly what you
want to describe. Often, a descriptive essay will focus on portraying one of the following: a person a
place a memory an experience an object
Ultimately, whatever you can perceive or experience can be the focus of your descriptive writing.

The storm I witnessed was Hurricane Sandy. When I first heard of the hurricane I thought it
wouldn't be as bad as some people were prediciting, but as the storm approached I certainly changed
my mind. As we sat in the house it became very real how bad the storm was going to be. It was
scary to hear the wind howling; blowing the trees around, hearing branches falling and the windows
rattling. Hurricane Sandy left a lot of desvesation and distruction not only in New Jersey but in the

Descriptive Essay About Myself
I find it extremely tough to talk about myself and my personal traits. In order for me to dIscuss
who I am in an accurate manner then I must provide some basic background information on
myself and talk about the Environment I grew up in. This way people can get a better
understanding of why I am the way I am. My Background is so essential In making me myself

a different person than I am today. I was born inAberdeen Scotland but raised in Fort Bend County

grown up in a family that speaks only english so I find it interesting to go over to other people's
houses and hear them communicating in another language. On top of all of this meeting different
people has also opened my mind to new ideas. For example, in school when we work in group
projects we collaborate and communicate with people who think differently than us then work
together to figure out whose ideas will work the best and how to improve them.
Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic
circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme
gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a
family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities.
One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a

helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is

Descriptive Essay About Memories
Our lives are filled with many favorable memories, but only the best ones are formed when we
gain something from them. A great memory that I have is when I went to my first concert in
Richmond with my friend, Ciana, in March of 2017. This concert is one of my best memories
because it taught me how fun life can be, no matter how wild it may become.
My friend and I aren't wild people, but we do like to randomly plan crazy things. Ciana randomly
messaged me one month before and asked if I wanted to go see this band in March. With a why not
attitude, I agreed to go. I wasn't dying to see the band live, but I did enjoy their music. There was
three other bands playing at that concert, but I wasn't familiar with any of them. Becoming familiar

To our left, there were stands where you could buy shirts. Since they weren't busy, we decided to
give the tall vender forty bucks for two of the band's tour t–shirts. It was a quick interaction, so we
still had plenty of time left. We figured we would go ahead and wait in the medium sized crowd.
The only part of the room that was well lit, was the stage. As we patiently waited, the variety of
bright colors danced across the stage. Slowly, more people came in and filled the crowd area in the
room. The stage and band equipment was set up by these men who paced across the stage. As we
waited for what seemed like eternity, time slowly stretched like finely rolled out dough. Finally, the
lights went out, and the first band came on stage.
The entire crowd screamed as loud as they can. The lights came back on and the first band comes
out. As we are enjoying the music we're listening to, the singer asks the crowd to make a moshpit.
Instantly, everybody is pushing to the perimeters of the crowd area in order to make a clear space.
Forming right next to where my friend and I are standing, the mosh pit errupted. It was very rough
to stand on the outer edge of the moshpit, but thankfully, this tall guy was our savior as he blocked
us from the tornado of bodies within the moshpit. Slowly, we pushed ourselves away from the
moshpit and towards the stage. At this point, my arm had already formed a bruise from the

Descriptive Essay On An Island
The first thing that hit me was the sound. The sounds of birds, the sound of the sea crawling onto
the sand. I felt million grains of sand underneath my feet and the cool breeze against my face.
Moreover, the tantalizing scent of the washed–up waves, coconut, and pineapple are all mixed into
one. As I opened my eyes, I was amazed by how easily fantasy and reality intertwined at that
moment. It was like continuing a dream after waking up. So I dragged myself up and turn my
head to the east. While the sky in the opposite direction was still dark, the dawn on the east side
already broke. A mixture of yellow and orange on the horizon beneath a dark neon blue ocean of
night had begun to peek out. As the sun continuously rose, all of the purple and deep blue faded
away, and the sun took its mighty position at the top of the sky, shining so very blindingly beautiful.
After I watched the sunrise, my mood lifted. Notwithstanding, I still feel threatened for I got
trapped on an island. I stood there for a moment and tried to figure out how I got to this island. A
series of quick flashback of a shipwreck, and a big storm. Consequently, I have a severe headache, so
I decided to sit down in the sand. While sitting down, I observe the island and find that I was
surrounded by water and some other islands. The water around the island was as clear as crystal,
to the point I can see the depths of the sea. Again, I dragged myself up and turn to the back; it
seemed like a tropical paradise. There were multitudes of greenery, lush foliage that looked like they
were painted on.
I walk deeper into the island. Nowhere, the sound of the birds started to raise up. It brought
freedom and happiness to the mind. Beautiful flowers in reds, yellows, purples, and pinks lounged
happily along the banks of small streams. Following the streams, it allowed me to hear the playful
sound of the water lapping on the rocks, and the sound of leaves rustling when the wind blew
gently, bringing with it a feeling of peace and tranquility. Continuing through the trees, my stomach
started growling like a monster who is ready to eat its prey. Accordingly, the smell of fruits
suddenly arises on my left side so I made my way toward the fruity smell,

Descriptive Essay About My Village
Wherever I am, I find it hard to resist the tempting call of my hometown. My hometown is a small
village located in Shandong province. There are about two thousand people in the village. Small
as it is, it's a very beautiful place and has its own folk culture. The weather is warm in winter and
cool in summer. It's a good place for tourism. The most attractions in the village are the river
around my hometown and the green hills opposite the river. On the hills there are large tea
plantations and fruit trees. The river, in which there are all kinds of big and smooth cobbles,
flows gurgling in four seasons, with groups of fish and shrimps playing in the water. When spring
was coming, the fields look like a green carpet, and the willows by the river are putting forth a lot
of tender branches. With breeze blowing, the long thin branches gently brush the cool and
refreshing water; there are groups of ducks having fun in the river. Spring is also a season of
sowing. When the parents are working in the field, the child are playing all kinds of games near
the river, such as swing, eagle catches chicken, seesaw and so on. Summer follows spring. The
children sit on the large stones in the river, where they pat the water and make splashes. The
sound of water, and the noise of the children's chatting and laughing are mixed together. The birds
in the woods are unwilling to be lonely, singing and dancing with joy. The old people sat under
the big trees talking about their life experiences. The government has set up a drift on the slope
of the mountain, so you can experience a great drifting experience on the hot summer day.
Autumn is a bright and colorful season. The leaves of the trees along the river are as red as fire
like pieces of rosy clouds. The paddy fields glitter in the sunshine, with dropping ears of rice.
They ripple in the autumn wind just like a golden sea. The fish in the water jumped out of the
water. A large group of people are fishing with a harpoon along the river. They set up a grill,
enjoying a great seafood feast. In winter, the pine trees on the hills stand like soldiers. They are
evergreen. The children lead an active life though the weather is very cold; they skate and dance in
the snow,

Descriptive Essay : Words, Words
Words? What is the meaning of words? Through someone's aspect, it could be considered as the
most efficient communicating tool of human being. On the other hand, some people may treat it as
an irreplaceable expression of their emotion. Objectively speaking, "words" could definitely be
concluded in both ways above, but in my opinion, using words is a privilege and honor. I use
words to gain knowledge and words give me all kinds of possibilities of understanding new stuff
when I intend to enhance my personal abilities.
–When do you like words; when not? Mostly, words represents simple language communication and
stand for a carrier of people's emotion. For example, I felt very upset and frustrated when I got a
few deny letters from some universities I applied in the last year of my high school. During that
time, every single word from these letters turned to be sharp and dreadful. However, when I have
a chat with my old friends, I usually enjoy every moment of texting and also enjoy every word I
type during those chats. In general, whether I like or dislike some certain words, it is not only
depends on words itself, but also depends on the words–using in its different situations.
–What's easy; what's not? Personally, I think poems and some traditional literatures are very hard
for me. In contrast, I feel easy when I read novels and scientific papers.
–Who are you as a reader, writer, thinker, speaker, listener?
– If you're lucky enough to think, read, hear, write in

Descriptive Essay About My Grandmother
My grandmother was a tough lady.
At just over five feet tall, she was the kind of woman that you saw on the street and knew to move
out of her way. Her demeanor was strict, her hands tied with thick blue veins, crissВcrossing over
her thin, frail fingers.
I remember holding her hands as a child, how delicate and soft they seemed and yet that never
made them seem any less worn or sturdy. Her hands told stories of different times, of different
worlds and hardships. She had grown up worlds away from me, in a different land, at a different
time, in an era and a life that I would never know.
My grandmother had stories.
But, she never told stories. Her stories were in the way she ate – she savored her food, cherished it.

My grandmother was an intelligent woman.
She had little schooling, but she had run businesses. She had managed on her own, with a husband
and sons, in a country that didn't care for her or her culture, but only for their aggrandized version

My grandmother's stories were in her complaints.
My grandmother complained about petty things: things that I would complain about. But she never
complained about life and she never complained about pain.
My grandmother had developed a brain tumor, which when removed, removed much of her
immediate memory. For a long time, she didn't remember my name. She had no idea who I was. But
she tried and she learned.
She understood perseverance and the importance of people and she carried on against all odds. The
last time I spoke to her, she knew exactly who I was, despite

Examples Of A Descriptive Essay On A Room
Contrastive Paragraphs Essay Assingment My dorm room is a rectangular room with beds on
the opposite sides. On one side there is room for two closets with long mirrors that are used as
doors. Between the two beds on the side opposite the closets are two desks that are covered with
papers, water bottles, notebooks and pens. In the midde of the room sits a black flimsy square
card table, covered with a stack of dirty plates and a binder. There are posters hung up around the
room, a women's division three national championships poster, a periodic table, an american flag,
and various photos of friends and family. The walls and ceiling are white and the floor is carpeted,
with a matrix of various grey rectangles. There is a central lamp in the middle of the ceiling that
illuminates the room and the blinds keep the rest of the light out. My dorm room is my home away
from home. The room represents the collection of all the objects I thought important enough to bring
with me to college so in a way it is me. Having to limit myself to only taking a certain amount of
things from my home forces me to distill my priorities and interests. I have to figure out what my
favorite shirts are, my favorite books, what decorations look the best, what color I want my sheets
to be. In a way, I am choosing the traits that I want to bring with myself to college. My room is the
combination of my chosen traits, building into my college identity. Because of my familiarity with

Narrative Essay
The air was filled with salt and warm sunlight. The waves were crashing against the Hawaiian sand
causing a beautiful and relaxing sound. With flapping wings and squawking noises, seagulls were
stalking tourists in the search of food. The soft, hot sand was soothing to the touch. The palm trees
danced in the swaying wind and the aroma of distant barbecues and sunscreen wafted in the air. As a
native Floridian, the thought of a Hawaiian vacation was appealing. Hours of waiting began to
accumulate when I was informed that my flight to Hawaii had been rescheduled. My frustration built
as I sat and anticipated the start to my vacation. After the airplane trip to the islands, I...show more

Crowds of people began to funnel in to this one location on the beach. I imagined that an animal
had washed up on the shore and could not get back into the water. My curiosity grew, and I left my
chair to follow the path of everyone else down the shoreline.
Upon reaching the scene, I became aware of what happened. I stared down at a little girl who was
lying face up and was unresponsive to family members calling her name. It was evident that she
had drowned and was on the edge of death. Life guards began to pound on her chest and start chest
compulsions. She continued to stay motionless. Quickly, lifeguards began the operations of CPR.
These long and tiring procedures made the lifeguards physically tired. The rest of the family
bickered back and forth on whose fault this was. "Why couldn't you just watch her and do what you
were told?" I heard behind me. The father screamed, "It was not my responsibility to do that, it was
yours!" The clear frustration began to build and caused more confusion.
The lifeguards circling around the little girl seemed frightened. Leaning closer to hear the rumors
being spread throughout the crowd, I unintentionally noticed the disturbing sound of gargling from
the little girl. She had regained consciousness, but could not breathe due to the water trapped in her
lungs. Policemen arrived on the beach and began to push back the imaginary boundaries
surrounding the circle of lifeguards. The police advised everyone to leave the beach

How To Write A Descriptive Essay

  • 1. Descriptive Essay Descriptive Essay It was a seemingly beautiful day as I drove on a joy ride in my bright blue sports car, with the wind in my hair. This is an everyday activity for me. My friends would mock me saying, "You spend more money on gas than you make working." I laughed to myself at the thought of jokes amongst my friends. That happiness was soon halted. As I continued driving, I saw a car coming rapidly around the curve. The car did not show any signs of slowing down as it headed towards the intersection. The light turned yellow and then quickly red. Another object caught my eye that made me fear what was going to happen next. A young couple started crossing the street wearing fancy attire. The first thought that came to mind was, 'they are...show more content... One of the police officers came up to me introduced himself, asked me my name and started, "Have you ever seen this driver before? On the road or around town?" I quickly responded, "No, I have not officer." He continued, "I learned from the call back to the station that the driver, David Chrisenger, is considered the town drunk and does not currently have a valid license due to drinking and driving". He asked me some questions and asked me to fill out an incident report. Still shaken up by the whole incident I gladly accepted. The officer ended our conversation. "Thank you so much for your time, Kevin. We really appreciate it." The only thought running through my head on my way home was how much I had not appreciated my wife and children. To witness something of that nature makes one conscientious about what you have and how quickly it could vanish. I vowed after that day to speak out against drinking and driving and the terrible outcomes that can transpire from something that some do not view as a "big deal". It is apparent that better ways have to be found for getting drunk drivers off the road. I encourage anyone to be responsible for their lives and others by agreeing to never drink and drive again, and to also aid your family and friends in doing so. Have a designated driver each night or call a cab. Everyone is capable of saving a Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay Rough Draft For my story, I would first make the web, gather information on my character(s). Then, I would start a rough draft putting all the information into a story. One day, my family decided to take a weekend trip into the sunny wilderness. As we were driving down the dirt road, we came upon an animal crossing right in front of us. My husband slammed on the brakes, and the animal turned around and put up his arms up like he was ready to fight. It was a kangaroo! It was Edward, the kangaroo that the Forest Ranger has been talking about at the community meetings. He was golden brown in color, hairy, little bitty eyes, long skinny tail and hopped around like he was on a pogo stick. We all looked at one another with hesitation, wonder, and astonishment. How could we even grasp the...show more content... My daughters sitting in the back seat of the car are trying to take a picture of it with their I–phones. I'm the only calm one and tells my husband to get back in the car and let's go back the other way and call the Forest Ranger. As we turn the car around, the kangaroo starts following us, hopping alongside the car. Then he jumps in the backseat of the car, and my goofy husband decides to stop. The hairy kangaroo stretches over the seat and punches my husband in the face. While my husband is trying to fight Edward off, other kangaroos are surrounding our car. We all get out, and they take us into the dark, creepy wilderness. Then we slowly come out of the wilderness in the morning and guess what? We are all kangaroos. I felt itchy and full of energy for the reason I just wanted to hop. I wanted to hop all around the wilderness like no body's business. I seemed anxious and on edge not knowing if I'm going to return back to a human being. My human body felt trapped in this skin tight hide. I couldn't breathe or talk. I would just make loud funny noises. I wanted Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Descriptive Essay About A Garden Garden Box The sun is shining bright over the rows of newly sprouted vegetables and fruits. Bright red strawberries peak out from under dark green leaves. The thin leaves of the corn plants rustle in the breeze. A wooden basket rests at my feet identical to the one in my grandmothers hands. We slowly fill them with fresh strawberries and small cucumbers.I'm in my favorite place my grandmother's garden. Stretching out with rows and rows of all kinds of fruits and vegetables that she grows for cooking into fresh pies, canning into pickles, and pressing into some of the best raspberry jam in the world, I help gather the harvest. Every summer I spend two weeks up north with my grandparents. I fish and swim but my absolute favorite thing for as long as I can remember is spending long hours in the garden with my grandma. It was in her garden that I learned the perfect size cucumber to make pickles and how to find raspberries hidden deep in the thorny bushes without scratching myself. I will always remember and cherish time spent in my grandmothers garden. It's those memories that prompted me to create my own garden when I turned sixteen. I had asked my parents to help me plant a garden at our house every summer for as long as I can remember but their answer had always been no. It was too much work, no one was home to take care of a garden their lists of reasons went on and on every year. It was during my Junior year when I asked my mom if I could plant a garden and instead of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Descriptive Essay About A Song One day during my sophomore year of high school while I was waiting for my class to start, I decided to explore new genres of music and artists that I haven't listened to before. I was sitting on the floor outside of my classroom searching through Spotify for something new and exciting. After looking through the Classic Rock section on Spotify, I came across the band Queen. Since that moment, I have been and avid Queen listener and have listened to all their songs. I have been particularly fond of their albums The Game, The Miracle and Night at the Opera. The first Queen song I heard was Bohemian Rhapsody from the album Night at the Opera. It was around 7:45 am, the morning was very still and quiet and the sky was clear. My surroundings became increasingly louder as the school day was about to begin and it was a cool morning unlike the typical Floridian morning weather. After scrolling through various Queen songs on Spotify, I stumbled upon as song I have heard about through friends but not listened to: Bohemian Rhapsody. Just like the eerily still morning, the exposition of the song was smooth and relaxed. The beginning of the song sounded like there were many voices in harmony and the hazy, smooth timbre resonated in my ear buds. The lyrics of the song matched with the eerie quality of the voices, the lyrics indicate that the singers are in some state of confusion and are unclear of their surroundings. The singers hold the last word of each verse for a beat longer than Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Descriptive Essay Of A Restaurant Once I stepped inside the restaurant I automatically could hear the music playing at a moderate level and the laughter of the customers. Right off the back the restaurant's ambiance had a positive vibe. Mindful, it was a Saturday late afternoon. Mary Jane Burger and Brew is a local restaurant trying to stay true to its past. The granddaughter of the original owner now runs the place with the intention of serving good quality food where the ingredients are fresh, mouth watering, and surely not filled with antibiotics and all that other genetically modified elements found in processed foods. The vintage, rustic looking place, holds a small town atmosphere with a big taste. The host sat my sister and I at a table in the middle of the dining area. A giant window let sunlight flood into the room and the speakers provided a good backdrop of music to help engage conversation. The restaurant itself seems fairly modern: leather seating, dark wood tables, and mason jar for glasses. It is the epitome of a hang out spot for any teen, millennial, or elder meetup. The staff caters to the needs of the customers and are always ready to help out in any way possible. I started the meal off with a glass of sweet tea that never made it lower then the halfway point. The waitress was always there with a pitcher of their home brewed sweet tea. The tea itself was not too sweet, it had the subtle taste of the bitterness that tea should have. In other words it did not taste like someone dumped a bag Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The storm I witnessed was Hurricane Sandy. When I first heard of the hurricane I thought it wouldn't be as bad as some people were prediciting, but as the storm approached I certainly changed my mind. As we sat in the house it became very real how bad the storm was going to be. It was scary to hear the wind howling; blowing the trees around, hearing branches falling and the windows rattling. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities. One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other competitors and break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. • 10. Descriptive Essay About Memories Our lives are filled with many favorable memories, but only the best ones are formed when we gain something from them. A great memory that I have is when I went to my first concert in Richmond with my friend, Ciana, in March of 2017. This concert is one of my best memories because it taught me how fun life can be, no matter how wild it may become. My friend and I aren't wild people, but we do like to randomly plan crazy things. Ciana randomly messaged me one month before and asked if I wanted to go see this band in March. With a why not attitude, I agreed to go. As we patiently waited, the variety of bright colors danced across the stage. Slowly, more people came in and filled the crowd area in the room. The stage and band equipment was set up by these men who paced across the stage. As we waited for what seemed like eternity, time slowly stretched like finely rolled out dough. Finally, the lights went out, and the first band came on stage. The entire crowd screamed as loud as they can. The lights came back on and the first band comes out. As we are enjoying the music we're listening to, the singer asks the crowd to make a moshpit. Instantly, everybody is pushing to the perimeters of the crowd area in order to make a clear space. Forming right next to where my friend and I are standing, the mosh pit errupted. It was very rough to stand on the outer edge of the moshpit, but thankfully, this tall guy was our savior as he blocked us from the tornado of bodies within the moshpit. Slowly, we pushed ourselves away from the moshpit and towards the stage. At this point, my arm had already formed a bruise from the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Descriptive Essay On An Island The first thing that hit me was the sound. The sounds of birds, the sound of the sea crawling onto the sand. I felt million grains of sand underneath my feet and the cool breeze against my face. Moreover, the tantalizing scent of the washed–up waves, coconut, and pineapple are all mixed into one. As I opened my eyes, I was amazed by how easily fantasy and reality intertwined at that moment. It was like continuing a dream after waking up. So I dragged myself up and turn my head to the east. While the sky in the opposite direction was still dark, the dawn on the east side already broke. A mixture of yellow and orange on the horizon beneath a dark neon blue ocean of night had begun to peek out. As the sun continuously rose, all of the purple and deep blue faded away, and the sun took its mighty position at the top of the sky, shining so very blindingly beautiful. After I watched the sunrise, my mood lifted. Notwithstanding, I still feel threatened for I got trapped on an island. I stood there for a moment and tried to figure out how I got to this island. A series of quick flashback of a shipwreck, and a big storm. Consequently, I have a severe headache, so I decided to sit down in the sand. While sitting down, I observe the island and find that I was surrounded by water and some other islands. The water around the island was as clear as crystal, to the point I can see the depths of the sea. Again, I dragged myself up and turn to the back; it seemed like a tropical paradise. There were multitudes of greenery, lush foliage that looked like they were painted on. I walk deeper into the island. Nowhere, the sound of the birds started to raise up. It brought freedom and happiness to the mind. Beautiful flowers in reds, yellows, purples, and pinks lounged happily along the banks of small streams. Following the streams, it allowed me to hear the playful sound of the water lapping on the rocks, and the sound of leaves rustling when the wind blew gently, bringing with it a feeling of peace and tranquility. Continuing through the trees, my stomach started growling like a monster who is ready to eat its prey. Accordingly, the smell of fruits suddenly arises on my left side so I made my way toward the fruity smell, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
