  1. What ARE College and Career Pathways?They are NOT one size fits all. They allow for students who want to go to four year college or go right to work.They are NOT based on an “all kids need to go to a four year college” philosophy. In fact “college” in our definition- means ANY postsecondary training or education.They are NOT just for Career and Technical Education students. We believe in Pathways for ALL students – even those who have no clue of what they want to do.

  3. Example of a pathway for a specific cluster, pathway and concentration for a specific college and degree program
  4. Example of a pathway plan that begins the alignment to a 4-year, bachelor level program. The plan is to develop many more of the 4-year pathway plans in Phase III.
  5. Just so you get the big picture, here are the clusters and pathways that were done in Phase I. You’ll see that there was a heavy emphasis on the trade and industrial programs during that phase.
  6. These are the Phase II clusters and pathways – the ones that we are developing this spring and summer.
  7. You can see that this is a big project and aimed at implementation in 2012-14. That gives us time to develop and pilot, then review and revise based on feedback from the field before full implementation.
