All of our graduates speak during our 8th grade graduation. We chose to share excerpts from their speeches to kick off this year's BTSN.

2. Moving forward is never the easiest thing to do, but it’s
a good thing because it means new doors will be
opened, leading me to new learning experiences. I don’t
know what the future holds, truthfully, I have no idea,
and that’s the exciting part, the curiosity, knowing that
the possibilities are endless.

3. I can dream my wildest dreams and if I work towards
them, my dreams can become a reality. That’s what I
love about this point in my life, the world is a blank
canvas and I can make my mark wherever I want.

4. The Henderson International School was a great fit for
me as a student because the school specializes in one
on one attention. The teachers get down to a personal
level with you instead of just trying to get the job done.

5. “Middle school’s where you make your mistakes,” is
what most teachers have told me and I will definitely
learn from all the mistakes I’ve made and definitely do
my best in the future.

6. I have been at the Henderson International School for
eight years. Eight years is a large chunk of my life. You
may be asking yourself, why did he continue to stay at
the same school for eight years?
The answer is simple… because it was worth it.
This school was worth staying at, because it has
enlightened me, taught me important social skills, and
prepared me for the future.

7. The Henderson International School has prepared me
for transitioning from middle school to high school.
Between my parents and teachers, I don't know who
motivates me more to excel and go beyond what is
needed for the bare minimum.

8. This school is like a second home to me, and I love that
the Henderson International School gives us a safe
learning environment where we can grow into brilliant
people, and that is all thanks to the teachers I respect
and love with all my heart. It hurts my heart that I have
to leave, but eventually all birds have to leave the nest.

9. Will it ever become easier not to miss the good times of
the past? No, it does not, but eventually you will find
that you are in a different place, a different time, and
you aren’t quite the same person as you were before.
And that’s okay, we all change, and we all will change
at some point in our lives. You must embrace this
change as it occurs, and change into a better
and greater person.
