2. Do you want a cat?
Think hard before you get a cat. They are a lot of
work, and very different than dogs. If you have a
dog, only get a cat if it’s a friendly dog that won’t try to
attack the cat. If you have fish, make sure to put the
fishtank somewhere the cat can’t get to.
3. Which cat?
When you are looking for a cat, get it from a friendly
breeder or petshop. Make sure that the cat is healthy.
Once I got a sweet kitten, but it died young because the
breeders hadn’t known the cat had a fatal worm. If you
have children, get a nice cat. Some cats prefer to be
either only indoors or sometimes outside. I have both
kinds of cats.
4. Items
There are many things you will need to take care of a
cat. I can’t list them all here, but ask a friend who has a
cat for advice for things you will have to buy. The
petshop or breeder will also help, and the vet you can
ask for health items.
5. Costs
The cost of keeping a cat can be very high. It will
depend on the food, caring
items, beds, litterboxes, vets, medicine and more.
6. Are you ready?
Have you checked everything on this powerpoint and
have the cat to adopt? Do you have everything ready?
