2. Mark Twain’s Young Life
 Samuel L. Clemens is later in life known
as Mark Twain.
 He was born on November 30, 1835 in
Florida, Missouri.
 At age eleven, his father died due to
pneumonia.
 At 18 he left his family and went to New
York City and Philadelphia for work.
 He had success when it came down to
some of his articles that he wrote for many
different newspapers.

3. Mark Twain’s Family Life
 Twain marries Olivia Langdon
 They have four children, but three die.
 Facing these hard ships he continues
writing.
 He writes famous poems, written pieces
and quotes.

4. Mark Twain’s Famous Pieces
 Twain wrote many poems including “Warm summer sun, To Jennie, and O Lord, Our Father.”
 Some quotes he created were are on the lines of this “Good friends, good books and a sleepy
conscience: the ideal life.”

5. Mark Twain’s Older Life
 Twain started to gain popularity
 He wrote his first book
 He also wrote short stories
 Twain died on April 21, 1910
