5. Confederationsâ Development Programme
Why?
The Confederationsâ Development Programme rises to ensure consistent level of service
quality provided by our Confederations through constructing an auditing system that will
measure their development and will allow the implementation of quality measures and
practices.
What?
Using an evaluation grid, the project audits 15 European National Confederations in
order to collect information and create a platform that will provided an environment for
knowledge transfer between our members. The principles âlearning from each otherâ,
âexchanging and sharingâ and âtogether we growâ are the main guidelines for the
implementation of the project.
In the end...
The first results will be presented for the members and partners at one of the largest
JADE Congresses â JADE Spring Meeting 2010 (4th â 7th March), hosted in Brussels and
attended by more than 200 Junior Entrepreneurs.

8. Being an auditor
What is an audit?
The general definition of an audit is an evaluation of a person, organisation, system,
process, enterprise, project or product. Audits are performed to ascertain
the validity and reliability of information; also to provide an assessment of a
system's internal control. The goal of an audit is to express an opinion on the person,
organisation or system in question, under evaluation based on work done on a test
basis. Due to practical constraints, an audit seeks to provide only reasonable assurance
that the statements are free from material error.
New concepts
Traditionally, audits were mainly associated with gaining information about financial
systems and the financial records of a company or a business. However, recent auditing
has begun to include other information about the system, such as information about
security risks, information systems performance (beyond financial systems), and
environmental performance.
