- Introduction: Hi and welcome tonight’s webinar on how to start your own credit and debt consultant business. - this is what I call the credit maze. It simply depicts just how much credit the average person has. Now as you can see what usually happens is that a person begins to open more and more credit and also what happens is that this then blossoms into this maze of credit and leaves the consumer searching for a way out and this is how a lot of people feel today. And with all this cards what is also attached is stack of bills right?
- Next let’s take alook the problems facing americans See it’s more devastating than what most people realize. Americans now owe over $1 trillion dollars in credit card debt. And The average credit card debt for low to middle-income households in America is close to $10,000.00 that’s just credit card debt alone…not including their mortgages. Because of the economy this is largely due to the fact that people began to depend more heavily on their credit cards to get by…using their cards as a safety net. For most Americans it was to be a mere temporary fix ,but unfortunately no one could have predicted that the economy would have taken such a long time to recover… Matter of fact I wrote a blog comparing our economy to that of a tornado, pointing out that the aftermath of a tornado can be just as devastating as the tornado itself. ,The same holds true for the millions of people who are trying to dig their way out after dealing with an unpredicatable and turbulent economy. See there are people now who never had credit issues before. And Obviously we still have a long way to go. But, the good news is that there are signs that the economy is starting to improve. Yeah And what this also means is that a lot of people will need help re-establishing their credit as well as effective strategies to pay down their debt.
- And what better business than credit and debt. I’m sure you’ve heard it on the news, or at the office or your friends or family, everybody is talking about it. There are millions of people trying to rebuild their lives and people need good credit to do so. It’s because you can’t get around it. Let’s take a look. Housing-Number one reason! Although we have had millions of people going thru foreclosure, those same people will eventually want to buy a house and they need to start working on their credit now and by the way people are stilling buying houses, it’s just a little harder now and that’s why they need someone to help them. The Credit score required now is 620 and a person will need a certain number of open and active credit accounts to qualify. Employers are checking credit these days as well, so if a person’s score is too low it may cause them miss out on a great opportunity. Insurance companies are basing fees on scores, and of course you need a favorable credit score for a mortgage or to rent an apartment, you certainly need good credit if you need a personal loan or even to rent a car these days. Now the last 2 things I want you to point out to your clients is building wealth and retirement, in order to build wealth, you need to have good credit somewhere down the line and when you retire you definitely need good credit in case of an emergency. See this is why it is such a great biz opp. Because people need credit, there is no getting around it, it is becoming abundundantly clear everyday that credit is so important, look at your television or when you’re on the internet, how many times do you see an advertisment pop up on do you know your credit score? Everything is revolving around credit because so many companies are basing their decisions on your credit score, like celluar phones, cable, the list goes on and on! So having good credit is important but controlling it’s important that people know how to use credit properlty and you don’t want to abuse credit. Let’s take a look at what happens when I person does

And one of the classes I personally teach is How to start your own credit and debt business. Background: I GOT involved in the credit and debt business. I started doing credit re-storation back in early 80’s and back then we called credit reports TRW ‘s . TRW (now known as Experian), I had a collague that was a good friend of mine who had a lot of derogratory credit and she was trying to re-establish her credit, and so she and I would talk about it a lot and it and I wanted to help her. She wanted to eventually buy a house and was planning on selling real estate so I began to read articles and books realizing that others would probably be in the same situation and wanted to understand how I could help people. the more information I learned and shared with others, the more I found people needing help And it spiralled into a nice little biz for myself, largely due to the fact that people would refer their family and friends to me because I helped them. So, I didn’t advertise it was all word of mouth. and pretty soon, I had more clients than what I wanted, because during that time I was pursuing my real estate career. But fortunately it all worked out because my new found knowledge allowed me to help a person with credit challenges resolve their credit issues so I could sell them a house. Mortgage And the same held true when I became a branch manager for a mortgage company. I could simply look at the credit report and advise them on what needed to be done in order to get approved. I would probably on a given day review 10-15 credit reports. And over the years I looked at thousands of credit reports from no score to 350 score to 800 credit scores and this allowed me to help a ton of people re-establish their credit and get approved.
- And the question is who will bail these people out? How will they get their lives back in order?”

But let’s just take a quick example and say you decide to only charge $400.00. well With only 3 clients per week you would earn $1200.00 per week. Now, if you had 5 clients one client per day you would earn $2,000.00 per week. And 3-5 clients is considered part time. What if you decided to go full time and service just 2 clients per day ? That would earn you $4,00.00. Now, with this kind of earning potential, you can see why it’s such a great opportunity.
