Ebsco AdvancedSearch provides researchers with powerful search tools to search databases and find relevant academic articles. It offers advanced search options to refine searches by date, full text availability, or document type. Users can also limit searches to specific databases, apply filters, and add search results to folders to manage citations.
Advanced Search Screen: there are more fields than the Basic search screen. You can limit or specify your search by choosing Boolean operators, or by choosing different options in the Select a Field drop-down menu
Search Options and Modes: Choose Search Modes to get to these options. You will see options to limit or specify your search by: Full Text or Scholarly Publication, by Publication Title, and by Date or date range.
Detail of search options: common limiters to searches include Full Text (full text of article available online) or Scholarly Journals (articles restricted to scholarly journals in field)
You can also choose: limit by date or date range. Search for Images and image types.
There are search limiters for each database within Ebsco. Academic Search Premier is the general academic research database within Ebsco. Limiters for ASP include: Publication type (Periodical, newspaper, book, primary source document, educational report)Document Type (includes Abstract, Bibliography, Book Review, Poetry Review, Case Study)Language, and PDF Full Text.
