The first large-scale elaboration of the City Beautiful occurred in Chicago at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition. The planning of the exposition was directed by architect Daniel Burnham, who hired architects from the eastern United States, as well as the sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens, to build large-scale Beaux-Arts monuments that were vaguely classical with uniform cornice height. The exposition displayed a model city of grand scale, known as the "White City", with modern transport systems and no poverty visible. The exposition is credited with resulting in the large-scale adoption of monumentalism for American architecture for the next 15 years. Richmond, Virginia's Monument Avenue is one expression of this initial phase.

CAMILLO SITTE He was an Austrian architect, born Vienna in 1843 Camillo Sitte was the son of the architect Franz Sitte(1808–79) and the father of the architect Siegfried Sitte (1876–1945). He was an art historian and architect whose writings, according to Eliel Saarinen, were familiar to German-speaking architects of the late 19th century. He was also an painter and urban theorist whose work influenced urban planning and land use regulation. Sitte traveled extensively in Western Europe, seeking to identify the factors that made certain towns feel warm and welcoming. Sitte saw architecture was a process and product of culture. The principles of user interface design are intended to improve the quality of user interface design. • The structure principle: Design should organize the user interface purposefully, in meaningful and useful ways based on clear, consistent models that are apparent and recognizable to users, putting related things together and separating unrelated things, differentiating dissimilar things and making similar things resemble one another. The structure principle is concerned with overall user interface architecture. • The simplicity principle: The design should make simple, common tasks easy, communicating clearly and simply in the user's own language, and providing good shortcuts that are meaningfully related to longer procedures. • The visibility principle: The design should make all needed options and materials for a given task visible without distracting the user with extraneous or redundant information. Good designs don't overwhelm users with alternatives or confuse with unneeded information. • The feedback principle: The design should keep users informed of actions or interpretations, changes of state or condition, and errors or exceptions that are relevant and of interest to the user through clear, concise, and unambiguous language familiar to users. • The tolerance principle: The design should be flexible and tolerant, reducing the cost of mistakes and misuse by allowing undoing and redoing, while also preventing errors wherever possible by tolerating varied inputs and sequences and by interpreting all reasonable actions. • The reuse principle: The design should reuse internal and external components and behaviors, maintaining consistency with purpose rather than merely arbitrary consistency, thus reducing the need for users to rethink and remember.

Types of water pollution include chemical, physical, and nutrient-rich fertilizers. Water pollution control, prevention, and mitigation strategies include effective wastewater treatment, stormwater management, soil and sediment erosion control, organic farming, biodegradable plastics, and water conservation.

Sexual maturity in ponds is reached at an age of 5-6 months. Spawning begins when water temperature reaches 24˚c. The breeding process starts when the male establishes a territory, digs a craterlike spawning nest and guards his territory called a lek. Nests are prepared by scooping out depressions at pond bottom. Mature female visits the pond and there is immediate courtship and mating. The ripe female spawns in the nest, and immediately after fertilization by the male, collects the eggs into her mouth and moves off. The female incubates the eggs in her mouth and broods the fry after hatching until the yolk sac is absorbed. (1-2 weeks acc. to water temp.) The Feed Conversion Ratio is a calculation that tells us how much feed we need to give for the fish to gain 1 kg in weight. For example, a FCR of 1.5:1 means that the farmer has given 1.5 kg of feed to increase the weight of the fish by 1.0 kg. FCR = Amount of feed provided (kg) / biomass gained (kg) Ideal Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) for tilapias in ponds and cages during grow-out stage The Body Condition Factor is a calculation that tells us if the fish have a normal weight, are underweight or are overweight for their size. To calculate this, we use the length and weight of the fish. Body condition factor (k) = 100 x (weight [g] / total length [cm]3) Ideal Condition Factor (K) for tilapias in ponds and cages during the grow-out stage. The crude protein is a measure of the % protein contained in the feed. As a rule of thumb, as tilapia grow, the percentage of crude protein needed for optimal growth decreases. In this module, we are focusing on the grow-out stage and the ideal amount of protein in ponds and cages. Ideal crude protein % for tilapias in ponds and cages during the grow-out stage.

Current resilience studies in economic geography tend to disregard the role of social reproduction and the losses experienced by individuals by predominantly focusing on firms and economic production. However, to understand the evolution of rural regions and communities amid various challenges they face, one must recognize that social reproduction cannot be separated from economic and knowledge production processes.
