We have always done some fruit trees at school and community gardens, through SMUD, Buy-one give-one, Our public Fruit Tree Project began in 2009 with a grant from CDPH CDPH funds Physical Activity and Nutrition Education (Not Fruit Trees) Rules have changed as early as FY 12, may be able to fund fruit trees directly in FY 13 We had support for what we were trying to do, even if they couldn’t fund it.
