town. It’s located in the town centre.
3. At the beginning of the 20th century there was no high school in
Nisko. Our school, founded in 1912, was the first one.
In 1935 it was named in honour of Stefan Czarniecki - a military
commander, regarded as a Polish national hero.
In 1944 the first Matura exam in post war Poland took place on
school premises.
4. Our school has 100 years of tradition. This year we’ve had an
anniversary.
5. A vast majority of school leavers have visited school
this year.
9. Otrzęsiny — we welcome new
students in our school. 2nd and
3rd year students prepare games
and contests for their 1st year
schoolmates who become real
students that day.
10. 11 November — National
Independence Day. We celebrate
a joyful festival in our school. We
take part in competitions (baking
cakes, dressing up as people of
the past, history and art
contests).
11. On our travels we relax,
admire beautiful views,
visit interesting places and
have a good time.
