ANALYSE LEARNERS
General characteristics:
This class is made up of mostly males than females, there are fifteen students in the class and 40% are
females and 60% males. The majority of the students are motivated to participate in the learning
process to benefit them. A few of the students are audio learners and majority of the students are visual
learners. Most of the students have an understanding of using the computer and so this virtual
classroom will not be a challenge to them.
Pre-Requisite:
Students have an understanding of the marketing activities because it happens on a daily basis.
Learning styles: The learning styles of the students of Grade 10c are Visual and Auditory.
General Objective:
At the end of this lesson students should be knowledgeable about a market, marketing and the
marketing activities of a business.
STATE OBJECTIVES
At the end of this lesson, participants will be able to:
i. Accurately define Marketing after viewing a after viewing notes on Slideshare.com
ii. List the marketing activities after viewing an animation on Popplet.com.
iii. Explain the marketing activities after viewing a cartoon on Toonlet.com and viewing a
PowerPoint presentation on Slideshare.com

Preview the materials
The materials that were to be used in the lesson were effectively tested so that a smooth lesson can be
conducted without any problems.
Prepare the materials
The materials that are needed for the lesson to be effective are going to be provided in the classroom
that the lesson will be taught. Materials such as speakers, projectors and whiteboard markers will be
made ready for class.
Prepare the environment
The classroom environment will be made ready, and the teacher will then organize the room in the way
it should be according to how the lesson will be taught and the equipment to be used such as the
computers are working and intact.
Prepare the learners
The students will be given an activity to spark their brains and tap into their prior knowledge and get
into the frame of mind to want to learn and participate effectively.
PROVIDE THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE

i. Use the tool Audio Boo to welcome the students to the class.
ii. Instruct the students to the various websites that the information for the lesson will be stored
and to also give them instructions to follow each link.

The Students will:
i. Read a cartoon clipping on Toonlet to identify what the topic of the lesson will be.
ii. Use the popplets made on Popplet to identify the types of marketing activities.
iii. Use the definitions given on PowerPoint to better understand the marketing activities.
iv. Use PowerPoint slides to understand the definition of marketing and marketing activities.
v. Participate in a comment and answer session on Slideshare.
vi. Take a mini test on Quizlet to assess how much they have learnt from the lesson taught.
vii. Complete an assignment that will be hosted on Schoology class website.
viii. Complete the homework that will be on Edmodo class website.
EVALUATE AND REVISE
Assessment of learner achievement
i. Students will be given an assessment that will be hosted on the Schoology website. Students
will be given 10 minutes to complete the test
Evaluation of media and methods
Teacher will give students assessment, test and homework to test if they have learnt what was being
taught.
Evaluation of overall instruction
This lesson was very interactive; the students were excited because they had the computers wondering
what is going to happen next. The students were engaged because the instructions were clear and most
of them know what to do. The whiteboard in the classroom was removed to their computers which
made it an exciting process for them.
