1. Questions for Music Magazine
Paige Tamsyn Arrived at VS studios in London during her break from the music Industry upon finishing her first
UK tour. Tamsyn has been playing at small venues around the UK. Today is the release of her first Album
‘Pulse’. The single ‘Echo’ was her first song to make it to the top 10. She is here with us today to talk about her
music career and New Album….
1. Have you always wanted a Career in Music?I have always been interested in music, but I never
actually thought of myself having a Career in it. Music to me was more of a hobby at first. I used to sing a
lot and people told me I was talented. I had my own YouTube channel and I started busking. I gained
confidence in myself from this and I started gaining followers on YouTube and then one of my videos got a
lot of views and that’s how I got signed.
2. Did you have another Career Path if your Music didn’t take off? No, I had no idea what I wanted to
do. Before I really thought about a career I was already involved in music and I became really focused on
it.
3. So, you have just finished your first UK Tour. How was this experience? Amazing, all those people
came to see me and it was the best feeling to know that they’re supporting me. I have seen some of the
biggest crowds that I have ever had and I can’t wait to go back and do it again next year.
4. So, what happened on tour to make you want to take a break? Well, it seems like the right time to
take a break. I have finished my Album. I have finished my UK Tour. It’s all been great and I have loved it
all but it’s just so hectic and I want to take the time to go back to my old life and see my family and
friends.
5. Are any other members of your family Musical? Well, my brother can play guitar but other than
that no, some of them do believe that they can sing, but they really can’t.
6. What is your favourite instrument to play? Well, the only instruments that I play are the Piano
and Guitar so these are my favourite, If I had to choose, I would say that piano is my favourite
instrument to play although I do love both.
7. You have been around for afew years, but you are quickly becoming more recognised by the
public, did you expect this? I didn’t expect it, no. People started recognising me in the street and
asking for autographs and pictures with me. It was really unexpected and new to me; I thought that if my
music career took off there would be a gradual build up but that wasn’t the case. It was all really sudden.
2. 8. Did you expect your fist single Echo to make it into the top 10? Well I really like the song and I
really wanted it to do well, but thinking realistically I didn’t expect it to because I was new in the industry
and people didn’t know who I was, so when I found that the song not only did well but it went to number
one was amazing.
9. How long were you recording your new Album for? Well, it took about two months to actually
record all the songs. It is the longest I have ever spent in a recording studio. Most of the songs that are on
there I wrote myself, so I wanted them to be perfect and as it turned out so did the studio which meant
recording the same songs a few times each.
10. What are your plans after you are back from your break? I want to travel a bit and write some new
music whilst I’m doing it which could hopefully be used on a new album in the future.
