2. The story In the twentieth century the government removed children from there family's and sent the to church run institutions or white family's. A resent report states that one child was taken from every aboriginal family. Some people even say the were used as slaves
3. Child removal policy The child removal policy resulted in widespread removal of children 3-16 from their parents. Policemen or other agents of the state were given the power to locate and transfer babies and children of mixed descent from their mothers or families.
4. Debates There have been many debates over the policy & almost all have been very unsuccessful from an aboriginals point of view. In all of the debates white people state that it was because there parents were violent or that they did not feed them.
