Personal Profile:
An experienced, hardworking Part 2 Assistant, with a passion
for architecture. I enjoy the challenge of acquiring new skills
and developing those I already have. I endeavour to design with
meaning, derived from narrative and connection to place, whilst
maintaining a grasp on technical and environmental aspects.
After gaining my MArch, I joined a young, design driven practice
as Part 2 Assistant/Architectural Designer. I have remained
at the practice for over 5 years becoming a trusted member
of a small team. During my professional experience I have
been fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work
on a variety of project types. From large scale prestigious
masterplanning projects, cultural complexes and concepts for tall
buildings to smaller scale residential and interior design projects,
undertaking tasks from concept development and planning
applications through to construction documentation. I have also
gained experience in working on a Grade II Listed building and
working within the constraints a Green Belt Zone.
Being part of a small team and becoming one of the more senior
members of staff, I feel I also have been afforded opportunities
to take on extended responsibilities such as organising and
advising less experienced members of team. I have ambitions to
go to complete my Part 3 in the not too distant future.
Interests :
Whilst seeing myself as a hard working individual, I also see
myself as sociable and easy going. Outside of work life, I
maintain an interest in music and sport [football, tennis and
running]. I also enjoy traveling as and when my time allows,
both enjoying natural beauty and experiencing the architecture
of different architects, places and cultures.
