2. Before-Kitchen Remodel, Point Loma Residence
Project goal: To expand a small, dark kitchen into a bright and airy great
room that would maximize the ocean view and link it to the outside for
entertaining.
A non-loadbearing wall was removed opening up the space and creating a
galley kitchen with a center island and bar. A closet opening was reoriented
to create a walk in pantry eliminating most of the overhead cabinets. An 8'
window was installed on the west wall to bring in the ocean and sunset
views and a wrap around covered deck built off of the kitchen.
3. After-Kitchen Remodel, Point Loma residence
There was a 13' bearing wall in the center of the residence
that created a narrow and unused space. A skylight was
installed to allow natural light and a wine cellar was created
from an existing broom closet with Japanese shoji doors.

9. Before-Kitchen Remodel, Ocean Beach residence
The existing kitchen was dated with appliances, tile and
cabinets from the 1950‘s.
Project goal: to create a sunny, welcoming kitchen by day
and open it up to the stunning views of Mission Bay.
10. After-Kitchen Remodel, Ocean Beach
residence
The window over the sink maximizes the views of the ocean,
bay, Sea World and the distant mountains. A skylight in the
center of the room brings in natural light. Granite counter tops
custom beech cabinets and Kitchen Aid appliances were
installed.
11. Before-Kitchen Remodel, Ocean Beach Residence
I created the conceptual designs for this custom kitchen.
I selected appliances, materials and finishes as well as
the custom cabinet design. I also acted as the Project
Manager for the project.
13. After-Kitchen remodel, Ocean Beach
residence
A shallow depth pantry was created with a dry wall enclosure
and shelving. Modern shoji style doors were fabricated from
beech wood stained to match the custom cabinets. White oak
flooring was installed to match the rest of the house.
15. Before-Bath Remodel, Ocean Beach Residence
Project goal:
To update an existing pink, blue and green 1950's bath
and create an uncluttered space full of natural light.
17. Before-Bath Remodel, Ocean Beach Residence
Original tile, bath vanity and plumbing fixtures from
the 1950’s needed to be replaced.
18. After-Bath Remodel, Ocean Beach Residence
The original windows were retained and a custom
medicine cabinet fabricated to match their size.
19. After-Bath Remodel, Ocean Beach Residence
Curved radial shower doors maximize the small space. A
“waterfall” was created using river rock and tile. A skylight
brings in natural light and visually enlarges the room.
24. Reception area-LPL office, Ocean Beach
Project goal:
To create a welcoming, comfortable and professional
environment for an independent financial advisor and
his clients.
