This is a special presentation I conducted for New Zealand Trade & Enterprise, Philippines (NZTE). Manaaki [Maori, New Zealand] is a verb that means to support, take care of, give hospitality to, protect, look out for - show respect, generosity and care for others. In other words, it means FAMILY. So, how do we show 'manaaki' to our clients, co-workers and peers? In this short talk, I will attempt to show you the key element for developing 'manaaki' in our work environment and the main stumbling block for 'manaaki' to thrive in our workplace.
