Over 77,000 active members have contributed to a Wikipedia page since it has launched in 2001. That is an abundance of content creation as well as collaboration. Fortunately, there is a cleaner more simple interface available to do just that, collaboration and share knowledge. describing a machine named the “memex” used to
enhance human memory by allowing the user to store
and retrieve documents.

3. • Bill Atkinson develops HyperCard for the Apple
Macintosh computer, a hypertext system where
information can be accessed and manipulated in a free
form manner. Suggested retail cost was $49.

first Wiki, WikiWikiWeb. WikiWiki means “fast” or “hurry
up” in Hawaiian.

software, quickly becoming the most popular wiki. There
