3. Camera Angles for the
opening sequence
The opening of the film
commences with a wide shot
with the main protagonist
walking through the frame, in
order to keep the audiences
focus on her.
Shots also include
close-ups, making the
audience familiarise
themselves with the
character.
As well as familiarising, we
take in the characters’
expression noticing a
bewitching smile she has
which leaves us to wonder
what she could be seeing.
Another wide shot shows the
character through a mass of growth to
define the environment she’s in.
4. Sound for the
opening
sequence
The sound for the opening
consists of a whispered
dialogue in a thought-track
(who we guess) the main
character, heard only by the
audience meaning its non-
diegetic in this case.
The dialogue goes in time with the
camera panning down the frame.
Other diegetic sounds
are wind to fit in with
the scenery.
Sounds of nature
(e.g) wildlife of
insects and birds
to create a sense
of calm.
5. Editing for the
opening sequence
Occasional pauses in
the scene to introduce
the actors in the film.
The change of shots are
slow editing getting closer
to the character as the
opening goes on.
6. Mise-en-scene
Police car seen
in the first shot-
some criminal
act has been
committed.
Gathering the idea that
it is set in a natural
surrounding.
