Are you controlling, not giving it room to grow, not feeding it enough, too much nurturing, not enough nurturing, not enough attention to detail, too much attention to detail, too much procrastination, not enough strategy time, not focused in the correct areas, too much blame, complete denial, not easy to work with, too friendly…..Would it fire you, would It praise you…..
From Early Age we were also performance managed. School Report cards, sports awards, martial arts training……So many things….Then we get employed and guess what performance manage, then all of a sudden we are a business owner. Woohooo Freedom, no more performance management…..
So now your in business and there is so much to learn, so much to do, who had time to evaluate yourself.
Why do a performance review on your team. So much easier to judge them rather then ourselves. Easier to see flaws in others……
Too critical of yourself, beat yourself up too much…Or not critical enough, allow you get away with heaps of stuff…..
Reverse Performance Review. How are you as a leader, questions you should be asking: What does the company do well, what does the company not do well, if you were granted CEO status what is some of the things you would change, what does your leader do good at, what does your leader not do so great at. How do you like to rewarded, are you clear on the companies goals and aims. So many great things come out of this all the time. Some great ideas.

Do you think the Business Owner is Passionate About the Business?
What does the Owner / GM need to do to increase their passion for the business?
Does the owner / GM beat themselves up too much over trivial matters, and if so what are those matters and how can they over come these in the future?
Rate your time management ability!
How could the business owner be more productive or improve their time management?
Does the Business Owner Follow a Plan?
Has the Business Owner Communicated that plan to the team?
Is there any part of planning that the Business Owner Needs to improve in?
Is the Business Owner Strangling the business?
Do they follow a Job Role…..
