Dear Cricket Friends,
The Cricket Club Velden was founded by a group of friends in Carinthia in 1991.
As their enthusiasm for the game grew so did the friendships within the club and
to this day every one of these founders of cricket in Velden still has close ties to the
club and its members.
Not only have we developed friendships within the club but also with the numerous
guests and clubs that have visited throughout the years. You’ll have to look hard
to find a country in Europe which hasn’t been represented by a club at one of our

Dear cricket friends,
This will be the 9th year of the Velden Sixes. What was originally planned as an
event for the region in and around the Alps and the Adriatic See has become a
tournament with wide-ranging international participation.
We, along with the town of Velden, are pleased to present Carinthia as a fine place
for a holiday to our friends from Europe and overseas. This sporting and social
event is one of the annual highlights for the members of the Cricket Club Velden
91 and we spare no effort in attempting to make this a wonderful event for our
guests.
