I am an Arizona native, having been born in a small copper mining town Bisbee. I made the “big move” to Tucson, AZ when I was 17 to attend the University of Arizona. My childhood ambition was to be a veterinarian. Having been an only child my pets were my everyday companions and I developed a deep love and passion for all animals. Instead of graduating with a pre-vet degree I instead earned a Wildlife and Fisheries Science degree and also obtained my teaching certificate.
