1. Disease Control and Prevention

2. Disease
a disorder of structure or function in a human, animal,
or plant, especially one that produces specific signs or
symptoms or that affects a specific location and is not
simply a direct result of physical injury.

3. Control vs Prevention
 When we say prevention it refers to measures that are applied to avoid the occurrence of a
disease. When we say control it refers to measures that are applied to avoid transmission after
the disease has occurred.

5. Infectious
Clinical classification is based on the main clinical
manifestations (symptoms and signs) of the disease.
Epidemiologic classification is based on the main
mode of transmission of the disease.
