Kurukshetra
Prepare for the ultimate battle ground of marketing. Come fight it out in the
Kurukshetra, where your brains are the only weapons of destruction. The first
round is an online elimination round. In the second, each participating team
would be pitted against each other to deliver a counter punch for showdown in
the next round. In the third round each team will take up the role of a vendor
and a customer and confront each other across the table. They would be given
different parts of a case, relevant to their respective roles and will have to
engage in a negotiation meeting, and finally settle on a final price. This event
puts to test, the negotiation skills, tactics and communication skills of the
participants

Rules
• There can be a maximum of three members per team.
• All the participants need not belong to the same institute.
• Multiple teams from an institute can participate.
• An individual can be part of one team only.

2 Team will have to prepare a marketing strategy to counter another assigned
Team’s strategy for a competitor's product which has the same
a) Market Segment and Price Points
b) Target Customers
Each Team would present its own strategy from round 1 and the counter
strategy of round 2
Cumulative score for both R1 and R2 would be taken into account for the
final round.
ROUND
3
Two shortlisted teams from round 2 are paired up to pose as the customer
and the vendor team.
Both the teams in each match are given a case (scenario) after the results of
Round 2 - different relevant parts of the case given to the customer team
and to the vendor team. Each team is to nominate one person as the sales
guy or the purchase person (customer).
Two teams would be declared as final winners
