History is known as the Delhi Sultanate.
During this 320 years reign, 5 Dynasty, (32 Kings) in
Delhi.
1. The Slave Dynasty
2. The Khalji Dynasty
3. The Tughluk Dynasty
4. The Saiyad Dynasty
5. The Lodi Dynasty
3. The Sultan was the head of the Delhi Sultanate.
He was the source of all powers & authority.
He was the sovereign head & commander of the
army.
He made all appointments to the higher civil &
military posts.
Generally, the form of an election was maintained by
the Sultan of the Delhi.
4. • He was the prime minister & was placed at the
head of the finance department called the
Diwan-i-Wazarat.
• He supervised not only the income &
expenditure of the state but all other departments
also.
5. He was the head of the Military department
called Diwan-i-Arz.
He was responsible for the organization,
maintenance, & control of the armed forces.
6. He was the head of the Judicial department.
He was the highest judicial officer in the state
after the Sultan.
