1. Proposal for the website
Oz backpackers have asked me to design ananimated website for their company. So they want me to
make a website for people to search up the website so they can travel to Australia and have a place
to stay for a holiday break. Oz backpacker’s provide information about the hostels and tips about
traveling in Australia, So I intend to make the website colourful because the Australian landscape is a
colourful place so I intend to use bright colours like reds, yellow, orange blue these colour represent
the hot weather they have over there and that could be a big selling point for people to travel over
there.
The pages will include images of the beautiful landscape of Australia and also the images of the
hostels them self. The reason of the use of images is so that the viewer can see what they a using
their money for because they wouldn’t pay for something they can’t see. Also the images can speak
a thousand words so you don’t have to have a massive description of the hostel because the viewer
will just see the writing and just skip to the next page. The website will have a few pages like the
home page this will show an over view of the whole website and there will be links to each of the
pages and there will be a brief over view of the other pages on the website and it will have a
description of what’s on the other pages.Hostels in Australia page is going to show all the hostels
you will be able to travel to across of the whole of Australia. Planning your Oz trip this page is
important to your safety while traveling in Australia because it can be quite dangerous if you don’t
know where you’re going so the page will offer so information about the different places in
Australia. Also the planning your Oz trip page will give you tips about any special events what are on
while you are in Australia so you can go to them and experience the local people and there way of
life. There will be a contact Oz backpacker’s page so if there any questions need answering you can
be contacted by your customers so they can have a happy experience so they might choose this
company again.
The target audience will be couples who want a break or it can be a family holiday so you can bring
the family so everyone can enjoy the experience not just you. So the website will needs to show
what activities the customer can do while they are in Australia so they could be a festival a theme or
Water Park for the whole family can enjoy. If a couple were to go and travel to Australia maybe on a
honeymoon so they will want to do something romantic things together so you could include things
like the best places to eat or the best place to visit so they is a massive range of things to do while
they are visiting instead of just sitting around while sat on a beach and they could be doing things.
The functional requirements for the website will be that all the pages can link to each other and they
can be linked though the navigation bar at the top of the page so the site is easy to see and navigate
for the user of the website. The page will have a search bar so you can type a key wordand subjects
relate to the word will appear in a list for the user to look on.
The resources needed for me to complete the website are the use of the software called flash. On
the software you can make animated websites and they can look real professional. Also there many
other sites who use flash likes for a good example the Simpson website if fully flash website and
looks really good.

2. The legal and ethical consideration we’ve got to look at the website and make sure there’s none
offensive matters in anyway so we got to make sure there no raciest comments on the site, there’s
no bad language so no young aged people who go on the site can’t learn any offensive language so
the website not advertising bad language. Also there none discriminating references to any religion
so we won’t be able to libel to be sued because none of these will be involved within the website.
There also won’t be any breach of Confidentiality so there is no wrong doing of miss placing any
personal information on the website. The website won’t have any misrepresentation of any race,
religion, gender, sexuality or culture which will offend people. There can’t be any extreme pictures
of nudity which can cause any sort of offence. If the website were to be offensive to any sort of
manner this could fence of people who are interested in using your site to travel to Australia so
avoiding this sort of bad behaviour will prevent any sort of bad out comes.
The website will be copyrighted in Oz backpackers name so they have full ownership of the website
and graphics and no other company can use the graphicsand if so they are used by a different
company are then liable to be sued.
The website should be completed by the 30 November 2012 and it should be in full use for the
public to use as they wish.
