 As an advocate for survivors of sexual child abuse, Beckie Francis
promotes legislation to protect children and frequently shares her
perspective as a survivor at various conferences. Beckie Francis
also supports a number of organizations that work to prevent
sexual abuse and violence, including the Rape,Abuse & Incest
National Network ( RAINN).

 In a recent press release, RAINN touted a new public service
announcement (PSA) from Safe Helpline, which is a live,
individualized resource for people in the military community who
have been impacted by sexual assault. “The Faces of Safe
Helpline” PSA features staff from the Department of Defense
(DoD) Safe Helpline as they explain the care that survivors receive
when they utilize the helpline. During the PSA, the DoD helpline
staff emphasize a message of togetherness and hope with the
tagline, “You are not alone.We are standing by.”

 When survivors contact Safe Helpline, either online or by phone,
their conversations are anonymous, confidential, and undisclosed.
Safe Helpline users can also safely connect with other survivors in
the moderated Safe HelpRoom chat room and develop a
customized self-care plan using a free Safe Helpline application.
