ASEAN CSR NETWORK CEO TO KEYNOTE THE SECOND PHILIPPINE
CONFERENCE ON RESEARCH IN CSR ON SEPTEMBER 3
Building upon the success of the First Conference held last September 1, 2011 and its
blog (http://philippinecsrresearch.wordpress.com), the Second Philippine Conference on
Research in CSR features an internationally recognized Speaker, Mr. Thomas Thomas, from
Singapore. He will give a Situationer on CSR and CSR Research in Asia.
Mr. Thomas is a renowned CSR Expert in Asia. He is the CEO of the
ASEAN CSR Network and is also the Executive Director of the
Singapore Compact for Corporate Social Responsibility. Mr. Thomas is
an Honorary Professor of Corporate Social Responsibility with the
Nottingham Business School of Nottingham University. He is also a
Member of the ISO26000 Post Production Organization, in which he
participates in monitoring and advising implementation of ISO 26000
international guidance standard on Social Responsibility.
The inclusion of participants to distinguished CSR Expert in Mr. Thomas promises to
enrich the learning experience of the Conference. Filled with both knowledge and wisdom in
practicing sustainability as testified by his peers, Mr. Thomas is sure to impart important
lessons to the Conference’s attendees.
The Second Philippine Conference on Research in CSR is a marquee event of the CSR
Research Institute under the Benita & Catalino Yap Foundation and the SACT College System,
together with the UST Graduate School and the UST Research Cluster on Cultural, Educational,
and Social Issues, and co-sponsored by the Management Association of the Philippines.
Aiming to provide a venue for discussing the latest ideas in CSR and to further the CSR
Research agenda, the Second Philippine Conference on Research in CSR will be held on
September 3, 2012 at the Thomas Aquinas Research Center Auditorium, University of Sto.
