This was a five year goal taken up by Hand in Hand in 2008-09.
The figure represented 10% of the population of Tamil Nadu at the
time of commencement of the programme who were Below Poverty
Line
The target was surpassed in Feb 2013, one year ahead of
schedule as per evaluation & study conducted by M-Cril
On 1st November 2013,
we have created 1.438 million jobs
