2. DEFINITION
• A trademark is a sign, which can distinguish your goods and services from those of
other traders.A sign includes, for example, words, logos, pictures or a combination of
these.
• You can use your trademark as a marketing tool so that customers can recognise
your products or services. It is important to register the AIESEC Trademark -- both
the word "AIESEC" in capital letters, and the short black logo -- in classes 35, 36, and
41, to protect the AIESEC brand in your country/territory.
• Q: What does "AIESEC Trademark" mean?
• "AIESEC Trademark" is the legal term for our AIESEC brand, including the name
"AIESEC" and our logo. Note: You should register the name "AIESEC" alone, not
"AIESEC Mars" or another entity name. This protects the name "AIESEC" in all
possible combinations in your country and territory.

6. • Q: What are the elements to register?
The elements to register are AIESEC name alone and AIESEC logo (black and
white) - no descriptor.
You can find the logo on the Global Brandsite wiki. It is very important that you
register just the word AIESEC, without any other words with it.
• Q: Why should I register the black and white logo and not the
blue or blue and orange one?
The combination of black and white includes all the other possible colour
combinations, however registering the blue one for instance, protects you only
under the blue logo.
• Q: Why should I register the word “AIESEC” and no other
words?
The word AIESEC includes all the other possible combinations involving AIESEC,
however registering “AIESEC Mars” for instance, protects you only under AIESEC
Mars but not AIESEC Jupiter.
