The November summary of events, lessons, and data from the David C. Barrow Elementary Media Center.

1. Grady Thrasher and Elaine Rabon, author & illustrator of the Tim and Sally series visited students in PreK-3rd grade25 Guests visited Barrow for guest reader day and read to every classroom in the schoolThe Media Center supported the 5th Grade Veteran’s Day Luncheon with our space and resources5th grade Battle of the Books kicked off with an introduction to all 10 of this year’s books and checkouts and reading beganLeader Librarians enrichment cluster purchased 108 new books for the media center with a Foundation for Excellence grant and book fair profits. Books were chosen by students by surveying the school, naming book categories, and meeting with library vendors.Multiple grades participated in informational writing and research units.
