time high on the coasts
• In 2007, midsize L.A. firm Irell & Manella
and L.A. litigation firm Quinn Emanuel
Urquhart Oliver & Hedges boosted pay
to $160,000.
• Gibson Dunn became the first large firm
to follow suit in December, and several
major firms on the East Coast then fell
into line.
