FMCA Management Consulting Student Organization
1.
The Fordham Management Consultant Association (FMCA) is
Fordham Gabelli School of Business’ only student organization
devoted to the field of management consulting. For the 2016-2017
academic year, our board includes two co-presidents and five
executive board members specializing in various fields such as
communications, events, case competitions, and recruiting. FMCA
also has elected a strong associate board of seven members with
supporting roles.
FMCA is proud to highlight management consulting as a career path
for Fordham graduate business students. The fall schedule includes a
variety of events such as weekly case cracking workshops, Microsoft
Excel training, a networking night, volunteering day, and an
MBACase cracking workshop hosted by David Ohrvall. Fall 2016
also features several case competitions, including Deloitte Human
Capital, Credit Suisse, Yale Low Carbon, Biopharma, and
Ross Renewable Energy. In the spring, FMCA will also
sponsor a schedule of similar events focused on case
cracking, interviewing skills, career panels, and case
competitions such as Rutgers, Aspen, MIT, and more.
FMCA focuses its communications around educating
students about this exciting career path as well as tactical
workshops to refine students’ technical and analytical
skills, especially for case interviews. The case cracking
workshops in particular are designed to equip students with
the necessary skills to be ready for case competitions,
which are held throughout the year.
