Some Ideas to Increase the Rate of Banner Click-Through

Banner ads are amongst the commonly used marketing techniques on the net. In the past
two to three years, the click-through rate of banner ads has decreased to some extent.
However, if you employ a quality banner design software application to design your banner
advertisement, you can increase the click-through rate. In addition, follow the tips given
below:

1) Use Action Words – If you employ some action words such as ‘Free’ and ‘For More
Info’, it can increase the click-rate. The reason is that providing something free tempts the
viewer to click on it and find out what is provided as free.

2) Use Punchy & Short Headlines – Giving a punchy headline on the banner can make a
big difference. Try to give some solution / offer through this headline. Use combination of
graphics and text in your advertisement. In banner software application, there are many
text styles which can be utilized to make headline catchier.

3) Static or Animated Banners? – The viewers are generally attracted to the
advertisement that is animated. But keep in mind not to use animation much; else it will
make the ad open slowly.

4) Keep Banner File Size Less – The banner size should be less than 15 KB. The internet
users do not like slow-loading web pages.

5) Banner Design should be Professional – The design of the banner should be simple
and professional. Simplicity should not be at its extreme and it should not make the design
totally boring. Standard banner sizes used are 468 X 60 pixels or 400 X 40 pixels.

6) Target the Banner Ads – Place the banners only on the sites that are visited by
targeted clients. If you are trying to promote your hamburger, place the banner ad on the
websites that are targeting hamburger eaters. In this way, the leads generated will be of
high quality and chances will be increased for more sales.

7) Examine the Performance of your Ad – Make it a habit to examine the performance
of banner every week or after a period of 10 days or so. The click-through rate of the
banner would tell you that how the banner is performing.

If you employ a good banner maker tool, you will not have to fret much. The tool will help
you to design an effective ad and will make sure that it is really attractive and click-able.
The more are the viewers clicking the ad, the more are the chances of initiating sales.
