1. Essay For Mba Admission
I came to the United States last year and it has been an extremely rewarding experience. I have
truly enjoyed working and living in a multicultural environment. In my professional life, I have
taken on greater challenges and led a team in the expansion of a new business. I also joined the
Toastmasters where I honed my English communication skills and made new friends. My greatest
delight is that I found my life's passion.
This began when I took a journey to my hometown last November where I encountered my
strongest school competitor after 12 years. She, unfortunately, had dropped out at 15 to get married
and had a daughter with a heart condition, which subjected her to domestic violence and economic
pressure. I empathized with her because of my personal experiences. My father was abusive and
forced me to quit school at 14. However, my determination got me admitted into a senior high school
in Shanghai. This was the beginning of a phenomenal journey. Currently, I work at a Global 500
Company and are testimony that girls can make a difference. I am also the pride of the family
notwithstanding the perception in my hometown that girls are inferior to boys.
Consequently, I purposed to help women who are deprived of a basic education and the resources
to make a better life. A local...show more content...

Furthermore, being at the center of NYC enables me to interact with investors and potential partners

2. My EMBA Personal Statement
I was originally interested in attending Hofstra University's Zarb School of Business to pursue a
real estate major. I was attracted to Hofstra because of its location, reputation, and
accomplishments. I soon learned that your school is in the process of phasing out its real estate
program, which, at first was a bit disheartening. Ultimately this situation became a perfect
example of how one can create an opportunity out of an initial drawback. I am now applying to
your EMBA program as of Fall Semester of 2016. While the real estate program may no longer be
available, the EMBA program is broader in scope, enables me to go to school on a full time basis
while working, and enables me to better network with working professionals. I joined the United
States Army in August of 2001, three weeks before the World Trade Center attack. Within
eighteen months, I found myself in Eastern Afghanistan on countless missions that were both
memorable and extremely dangerous. My last deployment ended on a dark night in East Baghdad
in November of 2007. While our team accomplished our objective, I was wounded by enemy fire
and was taken back home to recover. My circumstances changed in one night, and I was no longer
able to lead my soldiers, let alone walk for a while. While I initially...show more content...
After two years, I decided to become a Realtor. This became my career since I already had sales
experience; my father is a realtor; and I had experience from other related areas that proved useful
in my new profession. While I was excited about Real Estate, I knew that I need additional skills
in business law, finance marketing, information technology and other areas. I am now applying to
the Hofstra Executive MBA program because I wanted to be able to continue my career, and
achieve a superior level of proficiency that will be beneficial to my peers, clients, and

3. MBA Career Essay
Abstract The purpose of this paper is to construct and support an argument on decision I made to
pursue an MBA degree to further my career as a senior manager within the Pharmaceutical industry.
The argument will be based on a "What's My Jungian 16–Type Personality?" test and a general
benefits analysis of postgraduate and specifically speaking MBA programs. The paper will evaluate
on my personal score from the test. ENTP result describes individuals who are typically enthusiastic
innovators, seeing new possibilities, different theories, and new ways of doing things. Further in the
paper we will look at the benefits of undertaking MBA program including: better career prospects,
opportunity to gain not only theoretical knowledge, but...show more content...
What's My Jungian 16–Type Personality? This type of personality tests are great tools to understand
our personality and what is more important to understand how others are perceiving us as work
colleagues. The What's My Jungian 16–Type Personality? test is not a measure of our skills or
abilities in any area. Rather it is a way to help us become aware of our particular style and to better
understand and appreciate the helpful ways that people differ from one another. My score in the
mentioned test was ENTP, which stands for Extraversion, Intuition, Thinking and Perceiving. People
with this type usually are enthusiastic innovators, seeing new possibilities, different theories, and
new ways of doing things. They are quick to see patterns. They have a lot of imagination and
initiative for starting projects. Being competent is very important to them. Their energy comes from
what is new and different, and they enjoy spontaneity and taking action. They can become so
interested in their current projects that they drop other less exciting things. They dislike routine
and find it hard to apply themselves to the sometimes necessary details involved in finishing
projects. They become bored easily. They are most interested in logically analyzing ideas and
theories. They can speak to all sides of an issue, and they may change sides if no one is
championing the viewpoint of that side. The challenge of the discussion

4. Post-MBA Goals
As a working adult with family responsibilities, the idea of returning to academia to continue my
education was intimidating to say the least. The necessity however, was a stark realization when
faced with the idea of spending the rest of my career stagnating in an entry level civil servant
position as a New York State Court Officer. I was determined to improve my situation and quickly
developed a game plan for my postsecondary education. Early on, SUNY Empire State College
presented me with the opportunities I needed to achieve my initial goal of earning a four–year
college degree. In June of 2015, I was awarded my Bachelor's degree in Business Management from
SUNY Empire State College, completing what had been the first step toward my intermediate...show

Since earning my B.S., I've promoted to the position of Senior Court Clerk to the Senior resident
judge for Orange County Supreme Court. The next course of action will be applying for the
Deputy Chief Clerk of the Orange Supreme and County Courts. A Deputy Chief Clerk is an
appointed position considered to be an entry level administrative title. The position comes with a
multitude of higher level responsibilities, which will help further prove my strengths and abilities.
Having an MBA on my resume will demonstrate my determination and perseverance in successfully
pursuing my goals and honoring my commitments. An MBA will not only bolster my credentials
but will also provide me with a solid foundation of the knowledge and expertise needed to be
successful in carrying out the higher level duties and responsibilities required of a Deputy Chief
Clerk.
My long term post–MBA professional goal is to continue my education and earn a PHD in Business
Administration. With my Doctorate, I will have the ability to competitively vie for an executive
administrative position. The executive level is the highest position attainable for any Judicial
District throughout New York State. The executive administrator is responsible for multiple
counties, their Chief Clerks and their facilities. An executive level position will allow me to
demonstrate my skills, talents and professional abilities and provide me with a sense of

5. Obtaining an MBA in Finance Essay
Changing business environment demands for higher qualification especially in finance and in
business. Every business entity is having separate finance department which handles all the financial
transactions and requirements of the company. This clearly discloses about the great opportunity
available in the finance industry and motivates for higher studies in finance and in business
administration. Finance is my field of interest and I wanted to pursue my career in this sector. In
order to achieve my goal I will pursue MBA specializing in Finance, which is most popular among
other degrees in this segment. Thus, MBA will be the chosen profession degree.
Cost analysis of MBA degree:
Cost of MBA degree differs from one institute to other and...show more content...
Apart from the tuition and admission cost, student has to consider cost of laptops, books supplies
and also the boarding expenses. Generally, these costs tend to increase with time, that is cost in year
2 will be higher than Year 1 cost and can leave behind higher amount of debt than expectation.
Next is to considering the living expenses:
Rent $ 700 per month
Groceries $ 200 per month
Utilities $ 500 per month
Phone $ 100 per month
Sundry $100 per month
Total cost$1,600 per month
Total cost for 2 years$38,400 ($1,600*12*2)
Living costs expenses has to be included along with the overall costs determined in the previous
section ($206,000). Thus, total costs will be $244,400 ($206,000+$38,400). Thus, one can obtain
the MBA degree at cost of $244,400.
Determination of return:
Determining the return on investment is essential, for this purpose average salary of a MBA
should be considered. The average salary of MBA finance is $80,000 per year excluding bonus. The
salary is expected to increase by 10% per year and the joining allowance is being provided at the
time of joining is $20,000. This will be incurred in the year 2 end. Let us use the discount rate as
5% for discounting the cash flow. The determined expenses are for two years and it is assumed to
remain equal in each period. For calculation purposes let us consider the amount of $20,000 will be
received at the end of Year 2.

An analysis of the data will determine if undergraduate success predicts graduate success. Several
studies of students enrolled in the MBA program at Whatsamattu U conducted throughout this course
and include numerous variables. Likewise, the data utilized for this study include a sample size of
200 students attending Whatsamatta University. Ideally, the resolution is to conclude if a correlation
exists between the students. In other words, a correlation exists as a constant relationship between
two or more variables (Mirabella, 2011). The goal is to identify the correlation and display if the data
that increases or decreases.
Another purpose of such is to define the statistical measure of each variable by direction, size, and
relevance...show more content...
In detail, the regression statistics show a sample size of 200 students attending the University. The
correlation coefficient (r) expresses 0.925 with a coefficient of determination (r–squared) of 86%.
Furthermore, the standard error of the estimate identified stands at 0.118. Afterwards, the regression
equation shows a slope of 0.987 with an intercept of –0.051. In other words, the MBA GPA equals
–0.57 plus 0.987, which is the BS GPA. Subsequently, the predicting regression equation section
displays an X value of 4 and a confidence level of 95 percent. In addition, the predicted Y value
stands at 3.890 with a confidence interval of 3.890 and the prediction interval also at 3.890. Clearly,
the next section termed as the hypothesis test for correlation shows the null hypothesis slope equals
to zero. Next, the level of significance utilized, as mentioned above, stands at 0.05. However, the
t–statistic (computed) show figures to be 34.1890.
Additionally, the data in the hypothesis test for correlation section has a p–value of 0.000. In other
words, the decision is to reject the null hypothesis, but with a conclusion that some correlation exists
between the variables. In brief, the ANOVA section displays figure for SS, df, Ms, F, and F crit. The
regression SS figure computed are 16.1864 for SS, 1 for df, 16.1864 for MS, 1168.8879 for F and
3.8889 for F crit. The error SS stands at 2.7418, 198 for df and 0.0138 for MS. Finally,

I have been preparing to pursue an MBA since my senior year of college. It was during my senior
year that I was first introduced to marketing. I had a chance to work with some of the directors of
marketing for Georgia Tech and Georgia Tech Athletics. I saw firsthand how they developed
strategies and had a chance to participate in some of their digital marketing initiatives. I started
researching how the statistics and analytical work I was learning in my undergraduate degree could
be used in marketing. I knew that after working for a few years I would pursue an MBA in
marketing focusing on analytics and research. I took the GRE my senior year of college and my
scores of 156 Q and 152 V were not the strongest, but I adamantly felt that they
