makeup and the

together to show that
this is a rock magazine.

I have chosen this
particular picture for my
contents page, as the
guitar and the outfit of
the model show the
target audience that this
is a rock music magazine.
Also, the model is looking
back and this will link to
my coverline of “Soffia
Farmer looks back to
where it all began.”

This image will be present
on my contents page, as it
links to one of the
coverlines (on the front
cover, and the contents
page) and the model looks
as if she is a solo artist that
is a part of the rock genre.
This is seen through the
mis-en-scene of her
costume and the prop of
the guitar.

singing and the prop of
the microphone shows
that they are a band.

Finally, this picture will
be on my double page
spread. It is effective in
portraying and
reinforcing a typical rock
artist, due to the
clothing, the hand
gesture and dark
makeup. Also, the use of
levels (with the model in
the middle sitting on a
chair) makes it look
unique and different
from the other pictures.
